War in Ukraine

The Trump Russia Inaction Cycle

Trump promises to impose serious consequences on Russia if they don't end the war in Ukraine

Putin doesn’t end the war ignoring Trump’s deadlines

Putin stalls Trump by phone calls and diplomatic meetings

Trump does not punish Russia

OR

It might even be more simple than that:

Trump last spoke to X

Trump is manipulated by X

Trump's new statement or position is in line with X

Trump speaks to Ukraine. "we should do more for Ukraine."

Trump speaks to Russia. "we could end the war right now if we give Russia what it wants in Ukraine"

Trump speaks to King Charles and NATO. "we should send Tomahawks to Ukraine"

Trump speaks to Russia. "we should not send Tomahawks to Ukraine"

And on and on in an endless chaos of support and aggression to allies and enemies alike.

So Trump is easily played due to his giant ego? Trump has no actual convictions? Trump is just plain stupid? TACO?

Hmmm...

What could possibly motivate dumb Donald here?

Putin’s FSB Accuses NATO Ally of Direct Attacks on Russia

The director of Russia's domestic FSB intelligence service has accused the U.K., a member of NATO, of direct involvement in attacks on Russia.

Special units of the British Armed Forces (SAS) are directly involved in combat operations,” Alexander Bortnikov said on Thursday at a meeting of the CIS Council of Security Agencies and Special Services, state news agency RIA reported.

Bortnikov also said, originally in Russian, that "under the patronage of the British special services…acts of terrorism and sabotage are carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation."

He claimed that Ukraine's Operation Spiderweb, which hit airfields and strategic bombers deep inside Russia, was conducted "under the direct supervision of British intelligence

Not sure you know what you are doing, but you are doing a lot of it for sure.

They added that the US president tossed aside maps of the frontline in Ukraine, insisted Zelenskyy surrender the entire Donbas region to Putin, and repeatedly echoed talking points the Russian leader had made in their call a day earlier.

Again? You like to project so much on topics you are always wrong about

Oh so opinion piece articles. Got it. Trump has been far more "giving" to Ukraine then people thought he would. Weird for a Putin stooge

Lol, the observations of the people who worked for him in his last administration, giving voice to what we've all seen occur multiple times.

You pretending otherwise won't change history.

Trumps only concerned with getting a Nobel prize since Obama got one and ensuring the longest gov shutdowns happened under his atrocious leadership. In his mind he'll go down in history beloved for those things.

I'm not sure what people expect. Ukraine can't continue, the only way for the US to effect the outcome here is through escalation. Each action creates a reaction. Is the Donbas worth American and or European blood? Or even worse risking conflict and WWIII?

I don't like Trump, but I'm not eaten up with derangement of him either. I see this more of a practical decision than manipulation.

His main problem when dealing with foreign leaders, is that he judges them against himself, and believes that they can all be bought off with the right amount of money, because he can be bought off, and for relatively cheap.

Putin doesn't care about business deals with the US, especially when it comes to territory that he believes it's Russia's right to posses. Not matter how many times Steve Witkoff goes over to Moscow, and prostrates himself with talk of business opportunities, Putin is never going to suddenly abandon his dream of reconstituting the Russian empire.

None of that has anything to do with the conflict.

And Trump is not the one with the problem here. The Ukrainians might have a problem and Europe might have a problem - Trump and America, not so much.

You struggling to follow the conversation that you attempted to interject yourself into? Go back and read some more posts and try again.

Isolationism doesn't work, and not matter how much you don't want it to be, Russia trying to recreate an empire, is the US's problem.

Sure it works, absolutely works - it actually works almost everyday. Its not America's problem at all. Americans don't care and they don't care for a good reason.

Its not Trump's problem or my problem. If you think its your problem - go sign up we have given you information on it many times.

Americans who've never traveled more than 50 miles from the place they were born don't care, but they don't care about much of anything, so no one else really cares what they think.

Again, you guys tried isolationism in the modern world, it got us WW II; it doesn't work no matter how much you want it to.

You would have still had WWII. It doesn't work like that. Not interfering with other's fights is done every day. There is these things called oceans and nuclear weapons.

If you disagree you can sign up, apparently you don't disagree.

What does that have to do with where people live. I have lived throughout the U.S. and have lived years in Europe.
