This. It's not a gimmick to be able to scheme people wide open. But scheming people wide open makes the players look better than they actually are, which is why their success doesn't always translate to the NFL where they aren't running wide open all the time.
Exactly

I’d love to see what an elite RB could do in this offense

Yeah imagine thinking going to half 16-14 isn’t a BIG deal vs 23-7. Are you dense?

Here, I’ll “tell” you 💩 I know is you might need some more brain cells
21-7 up on Georgia wasn’t a big deal was it?
Layoff the liquor, it’s killed to many of your much needed brain cells .

Mets suck and anyone claiming them is a Moron or drunk

You’re right but Gimmicky isn’t the right word. Gimmicks don’t have lasting value and it’s more of a trick. There’s nothing tricky bout heupels offense. It’s genuinely so basic but incredibly affective
Playing fast, identifying single coverage to go deep, and running into light boxes aren’t gimmicks. That’s literally just football.

How Tennessee got into those situations involved some methods that the NFL doesn’t use as much, but (1) the offense looks different this year with less reliance on wide alignments and (2) nobody cares.

That was an odd moment. Noticed it at the time. Not that it was unexpected but there all kind of little things the refs can do to influence a game like not calling the viscious body slam of Joey A. when he was on the ground without the ball. We all saw how it played out.

Am I the only one wondering how in the world these new portal rules are going to work? I can't believe that they thought this through. Portal only opens up Jan 2-16. So any school with an opening during that time period has to worry about their roster hitting the portal. But the other part of the rule is, players have 5 days to transfer AFTER a new coach is hired as long as the coach is hired between Jan 2-June 30.

It seems to me we are going to have portals opening up at different times and then new coaches who are hired after the normal portal ends on Jan 16th, are going to have a very shallow pool of players from which to pull to put together a roster! Am I missing something?

Unpopular take: Tim Banks isn’t responsible for making tackles.

Second One: Mike Matthews would be an All SEC safety.
But he is responsible for teaching his players the fundamentals of tackling, something they clearly lack. And we're not talking just one or two of them. We're talking about several. Especially from the secondary, an area he specifically coaches.

I believe the rule saying they have 5 days to enter after their last game is still in effect also. So they can play in their current team's bowl game then enter within 5 days after that game.
