Tony Vitello to SF Giants (Merged )

So.

What's new guys?

It would be a tough job to turn down.

* Far more money
* Less work
* No recruiting.
* Fame and prestige
* Jump on the coaching carousel where managers are recycled league wide
* No dealing with NIL
* No dealing with boosters and fundraising
* Better umpires <insert joke here>
* Chance to make real history

It is not far more money. He made more than 25 MLB managers last year and cost of living in California is outrageous.

I have it on good authority that the boosters are stepping up big time.

Someone apparently committed to DoorDash coupons for Fazoli’s every Thursday night until season starts.

Don’t count us out on this just yet….
Dude. Going for that Italian food connection. Ingenious!

There’s nothing I’d love more than for Tony to stay. Him and the program he created is what made me fall in love with baseball. FB used to be my first love, but this Vols baseball team is the one thing I can watch comfortably and have complete confidence in that everything will be ok. We must pull out all the stops to keep him at all costs. If the DW rumors are true, he needs to get his butt in gear asap or step aside and let Boyd make the decisions regarding.
Trying to get caught up on everything but there’s a lot to cipher through. What are the rumors?

* Far more money Is it?
* Less work 162 games vs 60...ST & season runs from February to October
* No recruiting. I believe he enjoys recruiting
* Fame and prestige He's king in Knoxville. In SF, he's just another guy and has far less job security
* Jump on the coaching carousel where managers are recycled league wide If he fails, it's doubtful he's getting another shot by an MLB team. He isn't like other retreads.
* No dealing with NIL
* No dealing with boosters and fundraising
* Better umpires <insert joke here>
* Chance to make real history
Additionally, he has very little say in roster construction and personnel moves. He is given a team and told to manage them. In college, he is the GM and Manager and has total control.

LOL. HE will be next Arkansas coach .. No way he is MLB coach. These guys won't respect him
So you have the professional ability to tell someone how good of a professional manager Tony V. would be, “interesting”. Oh yes, and that rah, rah, attitude you speak of, has led Tennessee to record breaking seasons and a National Championship. You need to show a few more creditionals before you have the right to judge Coach T.V. You sound like a 16 year old “keyboard king” Trying to get a rise out of Tennessee fans. (Just my opinion).

Preacherman has been awful quiet.......................................................(On this subject)
I don’t know anything. I have suspicions like everyone else that I’m almost positive my son doesn’t know anything. I love you too baseball, but I also have a great appreciation for Tony Vitello because he has been nothing but great to my son and our family.

Press conference tomorrow saying Tony is gone. The hold up was the 3 million dollars to buy out of his contract. That’s now settled.
Tony also has a big issue with NIL and player parents.Sound familiar?
Saban said the same thing and let’s face it college sports pay for play will end up like NASCAR. Unwatchable. Players one and done and gone to another team is stupid.

Tony has basically thrived in the portal era and also only really ever known the portal era since he was only a coach at TN for a handful of years before NIL/portal. And I’m supposed to believe he’s leaving college athletics because he hates what the game has become? I don’t buy it.
