Coaches should be fired

UT has never been a "blue blood". We had a great run in the 90s while everyone else in the league sucked. Haven't sniffed anything since. And noooooobdy gives a flying F about championships in the early 1900s
What the f### are you talking about? The Vols are 11'th in all time wins, along with many other conference titles, bowl wins and 12'th in NFL players drafted. They went through a bad stretch, it happens. Their color is Orange, but their blood is as Blue as it gets.

Your comments lacks credibility. How about 3 good years out of 4?
I am talking specifically about the defense. NOT OVERALL. We had one year of a solid defense. The rest of the years was just us outscoring everyone with a potent defense.

I hear what you‘re saying and don’t disagree in theory but then you watch Vandy beat Bama last year and 2-3 years ago I believe USCe beat UGA so that’s what makes it frustrating

As for last night our D only gave up 28 points to probably the #2 team in the country? We all know they’re better than A&M and Indiana. Our O lost this game.
Like I’ve been saying. One decent game, ok. What’s the excuse for the other two shameful SEC games to terrible teams.

Banks has to go, and Martinez. Both are inept. Some want to blame the kids for this. Who is responsible for having these kids here. Are we missing on what a sec football player is, are we not able to coach them into a quality player. Either way it’s on the coaches. This defense is horrible. No excuse after 5 years. Change has to be made.
I disagree. This team has been decently solid considering who we've played, and how the game is played and called these days. We've had two of our best, and most important players (cornerback is one of the more important positions on defense) out all year. I'd assume that financially is also semi accurate, meaning that's a lot of nil money that's been on the sideline all year. We are definitely guilty of having some blown coverages, more this year than in years past. But, even in this game, our defense played pretty well. The 3rd and 13 on the first drive, and that crazzy whiff on the backwards play to Germie felt real friggin bad, don't get me wrong. But ultimately, they both were flukey as hell, and almost certainly mostly on the players. Our D line, regularly wins at the los. We did a pretty good job effecting ALA i thought. We have our #3 and #4 corners trying to guard two of the best recievers and argueably the best quarterback in the country. I think both those guys (Williams and Bernard) go in the first round and williams top 5. I'm much more disapointed/concerned with how badly, and often I think our offensive coordinator gets outcoached.

So what’s the excuse for all the other sec games we nearly lost? Especially to lesser talented teams.
You mean like Miss State where the D scored 2 TDs? Yes, Arkansas got tight late but they never had the ball with a chance to win. The D isn’t great this year but it’s not nearly as bad as some seem to think.

Listening to the "I want to be miserable " crowd. One can learn 1/2 the college football coaches in America should get the pink slip Monday morning.

We have a good team better than most, I plan to support this team for the rest of my life.
You can't do that. If you find fault...and by that, I mean tangible, arguable, reasonably fault, you have to voice it. Here's the thing.... you support the team.... Fing Great, who doesn't ....at some point the recruits aren't coming because select coaches aren't any good or have this or that reputation. But YOU support the team. NOT good. This is a competitive, evolutionary environment, accepting the status quo for a year or two it tantamount to complacency. It's a public university, the HC is making 8 figures, the assistant's 7...so WTF. Go ahead and "support" them, be my guest, just leave me out. I'd like to ask a bit more out of my HC than an income. I've been through far worse than he has.... I'd hope he'd understand that.

Sorry ole great sunshine pumper. Have you watched any other games this year. If you have, then you’re just plain stupid
Oh wow an insult. Just like you would expect from people who just don't have anything intelligent to say. 🤪 ;)🤣🤣🤣

Video gif. Altered video features a cute baby elephant wearing pink Converse shoes as she sprints on a sped-up loop.

Only way UT is top 10 is by including games that occurred before color TV was a thing.
Gonna start calling you Bubble Boy, because apparently the only thing you're willing to contemplate is what's immediately around you. If it happened before you were born, it didn't happen, right?

Heh.

Bubble Boy.

Go Vols!

I think the more intelligent VOL will allow the HC to determine if the problems are coaching or execution and handle his own staffing decisions. Lots of moving parts you cannot properly analyze from the stands or couch.

Lots of answers will be defined by our portal targets.
I agree the buck stops with the HC. If Heupel can’t make the difficult decisions to change personnel on his staff, Danny needs to replace Josh with someone who will.

To be clear, I support Heupel. But he needs to make changes asap.

Most of those types are millennials or Gen Z. Not aware of anything that happened before 1980. History is a foreign concept.

Does forcing changes on a coach ever work out? For us, it seems like a two season timer that starts before we get a new head coach. Why not let the coach make his own personnel decisions and let it work itself out naturally over the next couple of seasons as to whether he continues to coach here?
