Napier fired

OH don't worry about pissing the CFB world off by burning your Vol gear. Kiffin will be at Florida anyway. I think that aspect has some Vols a little uneasy. He does know how to fill a coaching staff.

There is a good chunk of people who claim they’d rather be miserable and roll the dice on an unknown quantity and lose to Kiffin than win with him.

They proved that in 2017 post Schiano Sunday when he was the only guy in the country publicly lobbying for the job while we were down to the likes of Jeremy Pruitt and Mel Tucker 😂😂😂😂

Yeah you’re full of it buddy. You would not give up your fandom if Tennessee ever reunited with Lane because of a decision he made over 15 years ago that involved his dream job offering him the job.

Cowards
You take me way too seriously. I'd go full-blown C-NC in a heartbeat. And enjoy the bonfire.

And stop calling me "Buddy".

I just noticed that Napier rhymes with rapier. Which is a word for a "long thrusting sword." And might not necessarily describe what Florida basketball coach Todd Golden has as an advantage over other SEC coaches. But he has sent some Florida coeds photos of his "long thrusting sword" so...

If you're Franklin, do you get right back into coaching with the huge buyout you got?

Florida could do a lot worse than Franklin. I think he would kill it in recruiting in a fertile recruiting state with UF resources.

They won't take Franklin. He coaches the same 2yds and a puff of dust offense that Billy Nap coaches...thats not Florida football.

They are about to make Alex Golesh the highest paid man in the state of Florida.
Franklin wins 10 games a year. He could recruit more UF resources in a recruit rich state.

Franklin is the "odd man in" in all of the P4 openings. As an AD, you know what you're getting with him. Solid recruiter. Solid coach. Wins games. For reasons I admit I don't understand, just seems to have that "can't win the big ones" curse. But if he wants to coach again, he'll have options to choose from.

I have no idea where he ends up. But if not next year, then by the year after James Franklin is a head coach at a P4 school again. The man's a winner. Not a big fan of his, but he wins. And he will find a job.

If I'm him, I take a year off...let the dust settle...figure out how to find a winning QB...and hit the ground running in 2027.

We have not heard the last of Coach Franklin.

This is the craziest coaching carasoul I can remember this early in the year:

Penn State
Arkansas
UCLA
Florida
Oklahoma state
South Carolina (ship is sailing on beamer)
Clemon (likely)
Florida state (likely)
Kentucky (likely)
Indiana? (does the HC leave for a big job)
Wisconsin (just horrible)
Vandy? (will Clark leave for a big job?)
Ole Miss? (Lane's definitely getting attention)
LSU? (Brian Kelly underperforming)

Those are some really big jobs, I'd hate to try to find a coach against this completion right now

I remember how stressful it was when we were in a race against just Florida a few years back and we were so afraid they were going to get Chip Kelly or Lane Kiffin.... I couldn't imagine this scenario.

Good luck with all that
Indiana coach just signed an extension to 2034 for 11.6 million per season.

No he’s not leaving Indiana.

The pivot game for 10-2 is the Florida game. We haven’t lost in Neyland in over 4 years to a school not named Georgia. Oklahoma and Vandy won’t win in Neyland. Those are wins 6 and 7. NM State will be 8 and Kentucky will be 9. Don’t fall for the tough game last night against Texas. That was a very vanilla offense with Arch they played.

It all comes down to the Swamp on getting to 10 wins.
Take off your orange colored glasses. Vandy is more than capable of knocking us off at home. I hope you’re right though. 10-2 would get us in playoff contention only to get swamped in first round. So I guess the silver lining is making the playoffs. If we do, we can always get excited about taking over our opponents stadium like last year at Ohio State. We saw how that worked out for us. Ohio State fans are still making fun of us in us celebrating the number of fans we had at that game, and then proceeded to get hammered.

Vandy of all schools is not gonna survive their schedule and roll into Neyland and win to break the 4 year streak.

I imagine if that were true, Golden would be gone. Provide some viable evidence?

Well they have Mizzou this week (Favored by 2.5) same spread as lsu, Then go to Texas (probably a loss but you never know) Auburn at home (Auburn plays everyone close but loses) Then a bye week before UK at home (A win) and then at Neyland. So they could possibly be 11-2 coming to UT. If UT is out of everything except the Music City Bowl, who is more motivated? Totally possible scenario. Vandy is a better coached football team than UT. That's easy to see.

He was a position coach at Alabama, he was actually fired by Dabo during his first stint as an OC.
Lots of folks called Billy a retard, he was far from it, he created generational wealth for his family doing it own damn way, it was beyond frustrating watching him try and navigate a game ( he cost us that loss to yall last year period) the players never quit on him no matter what. He won’t be missed but here we go starting over again.

He's 20-13 against a soft schedule and really hasn't beaten anyone outside of a mediocre Florida team and a syracuse team in a bowl with a fired coach and 45 players opting out

He has already accomplished something that CJH hasn’t even sniffed.

A win at the swamp.

If CJH loses on 11-22 it will be a complete meltdown on VN and the seat might start to get warm.

Edit: No way I’m I saying that Tennessee should fire CJH or pursue CAG
