None of the major power brokers would ever have Kiffin back here, and half of the fan base would have a fit. And I’m embarrassed to say that only half of the fan base would have a fit.I like that you agreed on Mullen, lots of people **** on him, he's a great coach. I wanted him badly at Tennessee.
I have always been a Kiffin fan
He's coaching better the older he gets
All the shine of an interim coach is certainly going to wear off after 4 games. I think this is a great time. Georgia should destroy them, and then probably several players will jump in the portal. Not the news we wanted. They will be playing better when we play them. And as usual, Heupel will be playing checkers while the interim is playing chess.
That a serious list? Dabo? No. Franklin? No. Malzon? No. Saban? No. Golesch is a possibility, but behind the most likely --Lane Kiffin. Watch it play out.Never understood the hire to begin with. Dan mullen was a much better coach
I just wonder where they turn to next?
My list:
1. James Franklin
2. Dabo Sweeney
3. Gus Malzahn
4. Alex Golesch
5. Nick Saban

Well his last 2 jobs, Florida Atlantic, turned them into winners, Ole Miss, turned them into winners. Sure there are other competent Coaches, but those who SK Kiffin because he made a huge mistake are not being realistic. He is a good Coach. He hates what he did at UT. Every single day.You can win with other coaches not named Lane Kiffin who have the same exact accomplishments.
Then continuing to poke and prod UT every chance he got in the years since was not much of a way to say "I hate what I did.". More like he doubled down.Well his last 2 jobs, Florida Atlantic, turned them into winners, Ole Miss, turned them into winners. Says one thing; does another. There's a word for that.
Lane Kiffin is a good coach, and a really good offensive architect. Sad excuse for a man. Can't keep his mouth shut long enough to let his accomplishments salvage his reputation. Zebra can't change its' stripes. And I will burn every piece of UT apparel / gear / stuff I have if he ever returns to UT as a coach.
OTOH, it would make for a really impressive bonfire, so...
OH don't worry about pissing the CFB world off by burning your Vol gear. Kiffin will be at Florida anyway. I think that aspect has some Vols a little uneasy. He does know how to fill a coaching staff. Then continuing to poke and prod UT every chance he got in the years since was not much of a way to say "I hate what I did.". More like he doubled down.
