The initial running the ball and calling your last t/o was just absolutely horrid. IF YOU RUN ON THAT PLAY, THE ONLY WAY it makes sense, is to immediately have another quick run play, and then burning the t/o. Running the ball there, and then calling your last t/o, limited your next call(s) and is just an absolute friggin disaster of a decision. ESPECIALLY, with a qb that was clearly off (hurt) at that point. Not sure who was calling that sequence, but wow.Heupel is responsible for the roster. Turpentine and Telander have been here 3 years, so if you want to blame them, that’s on Heupel.
Aguilar clearly had a neck injury. Heupel thought a play action call that required a throw to the outside was a good idea when there was zero threat of a run, and his QB’s neck was hurting. If you’ve ever had any degree of neck pain, you might be able to imagine that your ability to throw a ball would be impacted.
The in game mismanagement, clock management, play calling and lack of discipline are major problems! No. He screwed up by not taking the timeout with 25 seconds and proceeded to line up and run for the first down instead. That screwed us. We lost out on at least 1 more play and limited what we could call.
