Now that Florida has fired their coach, will the new head coach they hire get Florida to the SECCG before CJH and the Vols get there?

I think this would make a fantastic sticky post and a longe term study.

Not concerned about that at the moment. If Heupel and team go to Gainesville and play sloppy football again, then get embarrassed by Florida and an interim coach, then it’s time to worry about the Vols future and where JH has them headed.

Florida is a gold mine. Talent galore even after Florida State and Miami get the cream of the crop. Even Spurrier won right out of the gate with left over players and was able to recruit well at the same time.

Now, NIL may impact that as kids go to the highest bidder but, they have the money.

Florida may be a gold mine but there's a ton of teams recruiting well in Florida. also how has this gold mine helped Florida since Urban Meyer left there?

Florida will go after a big name coach. Jon Gruden, Lane Kiffen, probaly James Franklin. someone like that.

Vote NO! Support Tennessee Footbal!
I support by watching them every Saturday, season tickets, attending numerous away games, playoff/bowl games, and buying TN apparel. I get what you are saying but my opinion, even if unpopular, doesn’t mean I don’t support the Vols. UT is my Alma mater and recently became my son’s, too.

Go Vols!

What have you seen from Heupel to say I’m wrong? The guy beats himself all the time. In this new SEC, he isn’t gonna get out of his own way enough to make it to Atlanta.
Well, he finished 2nd in the SEC in 2022 and 3rd in 2024, so I'd say that's pretty close. If not for divisions in 2022, we would have been in Atlanta that season. Last season, we weren't in Atlanta due to tie breaker vs Georgia.

He lost to Arkansas last year to keep him out. The schedule is about to get a lot tougher.

They have a very dysfunctional situation behind the scenes. I’ll be surprised if they attract a big name.

So you were happy with Pruitt, Butch, Dooley? Not sure how long you've been a "fan", but every other coach turned us down. Who do you honestly think is gonna come here? Be realistic in your answer.

No I wasn’t happy with them. People need to drop that line, it’s a low IQ deflection.

For the record, I haven’t called for him to be fired. He doesn’t deserve to be fired at this time. But eventually it’s gonna happen.

It's not a deflection, it's a legit question for someone whp sure does sound like they hate the coach.
