Was his downfall at SC too.

Other than his dad the first year at UT and that 10 win SC team, he always had poor defenses
No. His downfall at USC were the sanctions and punishments from the Carroll days.

And even then, USC fell off the map with the Sark and Helton years too minus the one good Darnold season.

I was talking more on field. He definitely didn’t get any help with his AD

There are people who don't want Kiffin either because he's never truly won anything. Also, he lost to Napier last year (huge red flag).

I would vote for him, because at this point Florida needs a guarantee.

I can't guarantee Kiffin will win a championship.

I can guarantee Florida will win games. You'll have to take Florida seriously. And Florida will score points and have an exciting offense.

No more Gasparilla Bowls.

Kiffin is somebody you have to ask even if he declines.
I gave up predicting things but that would be a tough get, imo.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

The major change is that when an Ole Miss or Vandy found a successful coach, a big boy program would eventually come around and pull them.

I think that is a lot more difficult now.

Weird to fire him after a win. You'd think they'd at least wait till next week when he loses to Georgia.

My big fear is that they'll hire Golesh. Don't think Kiffin will go there - Ole Miss will pay thru the roof to keep him.

Strickland should not be allowed to make the hire

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Kiffin cares if he never wins a championship.

We had that game lost until MSU won it for us.

He should have been fired immediately after that play call on 3rd and 1.

They have a bye this week, so it was probably the best time to do it, even though it seems awkward coming off a win.
