Some more context........UNC is ranked 11th in the preseason. UNC only wanted to do 3 quarters of full court and then only do half court the final quarter. Coach Kim, her staff and the team didn't know this before flying to North Carolina and didn't find out about it until after the 3rd quarter. They were not happy about not playing a full scrimmage.Lady Vols Basketball scrimmaged North Carolina yesterday and won 69 to 43, they only played 3 quarters.
The time really didn’t matter. Not throwing on first down mattered. You either score or throw an incompletion to keep that one TO.The last timeout waiting to be called until 9 seconds is the problem. After the 2nd down play it 3rd down play would have both been better times to take it. I was screaming timeout at my tv after the second down play and couldn’t believe we were content to keep running hurry up run up middle and let so much time tick off. We put ourselves in that situation and sealed our fate with a bad play call and lack of communication between coach and qb and/or execution by qb.
Nobody is saying it’s a good throw. I’m saying even with a perfect throw it’s not caught. Bama was in perfect position. I don’t care if it was prime Brady or manning Kits is not catching thatKitselman spins around to attempt the catch. If it’s thrown 2 yards further out, it’s not intercepted. Both play and execution can be critiqued. We should have thrown on first down.
The time does matter. Bishop was tackled with 29 seconds left and we didn’t call a TO till 9 seconds. Call a TO run for the first and you have 24 seconds left with a fresh set of downs. Instead of 9. 24 seconds lets you call whatever play you wantThe time really didn’t matter. Not throwing on first down mattered. You either score or throw an incompletion to keep that one TO.
He is a senior from App State. I thought he could be solid, but frankly, he’s better than I thought. A few of his INT’s were from tips or slips. Last night was truly one of the few from a bad throw. Our offense is great, in part, because of him.Yeah really terrible throw. The shine is wearing off him a bit. He’s above average, but not really what we thought he was after those first few games.
This is the next UT team that will win a national title. Some more context........UNC is ranked 11th in the preseason. Again, I say this game came down to one single play. Brutal play for us but the way some of our fanbase is acting is ridiculous
He’s not a good football player, he’s just an athlete. And I think Brazzel will be back, he’s killing his stock right now after a big first few games. You saw what a 50% freshman roster leads to and you want more of that in the starting lineup?
MM has shown a big leap this year, despite a few drops. Next year brazzell will have gone pro and MM will be the featured go to guy. Anyone who wants him gone is foolish.
Exactly right. I just can’t get on board with anyone saying it was almost a touchdown. Bama read that like a book.Nobody is saying it’s a good throw. I being honest here....Gators hire Lane and we’ll really have some disappointment ahead. Just hope for the best and hope to god AD White has some discussion with Heupel after the season
It’s idiotic. Bama had a dude containing which resulted in him holding it longer than he wanted to. He had a dude right in front of him so he couldn’t zip it, and then the other defender had his eyes on Joey the whole time and was 2 steps from kits.Exactly right. I just can’t get on board with anyone saying it was almost a touchdown. Bama read that like a book.
