And it's a red herring to repeatedly point out that he's a US citizen. If he was committing a crime or trying to interfere with their duties, they can and will arrest him. I'm not saying this was the case. I just don't know, as I can't see the stunning new video.

Editing to add that I followed the link in the article to other claimed "ramming" incidents and that video doesn't show ramming either. It just says that, after the arrest/detention, they "clipped" the bumper of a car that was blocking their exit. (I wonder if clipping a car that was blocking them may have something to do with apparent attempts to assassinate ICE while blocking their cars.)

Seeing the videos would help here, for sure.

Idk why some of y’all are defending illegals over the police and actual citizens 😂 if we all stormed Canada and Mexico I guarantee they would not like it and would be much more assertive about it lol.. (as if we actually would want to go to either place) lol

I never said it was, hence me saying that I can't see the video. Tranqilo, hombre.

Edited. I found the video on another news site. It didn't show what led up to the incident. It will be interesting to hear what the provocation was, if any. If they just rammed and arrested him without cause, fire and charge them.

So, on the ramming video, from what I can tell... They chased him in an unmarked car, and I didn't see any sirens that would indicate he was legally bound to stop for them. They arrested/detained him, and then released him with no charges?

Without more info, that's a horrible look. If they want to claim that he was fleeing a lawful stop, they should have had lights on. If he did something they could legally ram/detain/arrest him for, they surely should have charged him once they arrested him.

If no better details come out, these agents should likely be fired and charged for assault.

Had they identified themselves in another way (in interview he seems to admit that he knew they were ICE agents, i.e. federal law enforcement) and had they demanded that he stop? If so, it's possible he was fleeing a legal apprehension? This should be interesting to follow.

If the police killed an "illegal" for no reason and people criticized them for it, would you still say the above? Do they just have a blank slate with you to do anything they want?

I am anti-Trump. have been since he announced, and I have been vocal about it here.

nazis are fascists who hate jews and went out of their way to persecute Jews. and did so with an expansionist mindset. it wasn't enough to get rid of "their" jews, they wanted to get rid of all jews.

anyone making this comparison doesn't understand actual history and is down playing the crap out of Hitler and his actions.

just use the word authoritarian. a good comparison would be Kim Jung Un, still obviously on a higher level than Trump is, but far more fitting than Hitler. Venezuela, ironically, would be another good fit. there are also some better parallels to Putin and Russia.

When Trump wouldn't even crack the top 10 authoritarian national leaders today, there is no room to compare him to Hitler.

so what if he knew they were ICE? I have been tailed by plenty of marked government vehicles, should I just pull over every time? Under the presumption they want me to stop?

The wife and I went into Nicaragua some time ago. On the plane flying there, we sat next to a Nicaraguanesa who's been in the US for decades and flies back home occasionally. She fervently warned us to be careful what we said while there, and lamented the state of the country since the Ortega regime took over.

Once, it was a happy, outgoing culture like much of Latin America. Now, they are closed off and cautious. People keep to themselves largely, apparently because they know they can be disappeared for saying even the hint of the wrong thing, and they never know which of their neighbors is listening to report them.

People here have no idea just how stupidly ironic it is that they brag about the number of people publicly protesting our current Hitler/Stalin/Ortega. Pure, unadulterated ignorance.
