Agree but we did shoot ourselves in the foot A LOT. That is the part that frustrates me the most. alabama is not that much better than we are.

We had plenty of time to run a play for a chance at a touchdown though. Second down(?), 0:09 seconds. Maybe a bad play call, I don’t know, but Ags should have thrown that more outside or just chucked it out of bounds. Live for the FG.

But yeah. All hindsight. 23-6 sure looks more deflating to the team than 16-10. That was a heartbreaker.

I’m pissed. I’m angry. And I’m gonna be realistic. From now until the end of November, we can easily run the table to go 10-2 OR we can just as easily lose 4 more games to go 6-6.

That UK game is going to be tougher than we’re wanting to admit, OU will be a hard one to win, UF is in Gainesville and I’ve personally already checked that as a loss, and then there’s Vandy, who will want nothing more than to beat us during Pavia’s final college game. So 6-6 is very reasonable.

Their defense was playing lights out in red zone. They werent giving us anything.

Can we be frustrated but not also admit that you shouldn’t judge an entire defense / defensive philosophy over a true Fr - who wouldn’t be on the field with a healthy defensive backfield - not wrapping up a ball carrier?

This team had the potential to be the best Heup has had (by far) and be a genuine top 3 team. They’ve not come close to living up to their potential, handed both bama and uga the win and got crap luck with injuries

Y’all can’t be mad at Heupel (not targeting you specifically) for playing “not to lose” or being “scared” and then get mad at him when that aggressiveness costs us.

I was wondering that too. We didn’t have the same ol combo for consecutive drives last night, absolutely stupid to do that. Our best OL combo last night was:

LT: heard
LG: moe
C: pendleton
Rg: Perry
RT: Sanders

Thats what it needs to be from here on out and needs to stay like that

OU’s offense sucks. It’s also gonna be a night game in Neyland. Heup will hang 40+ on em, UK is UK, Vandy is Vandy. They are to us what we are to Florida

OU’s defense is the best we’ll face this year. We’ll struggle to put up 20-24 against them. Our D is straight trash.

Depending how Joey’s neck is we may see good ole Merk vs UK. Wouldn’t that be the most Vol thing ever. We should win but if Merk has to play a majority of that game I think that becomes dicey.

Vandy will run all over our D. Again, back to the D. Abysmal at best.

Florida always gets up to play us. They will look to make a statement.

I definitely see one more loss at the very least, maybe even two between OU, Vandy and UF.

Idk that I agree but this is what makes sports awesome. You can win or lose every game. Gotta go out and get it!

Yep. LBs are poor in pass coverage too. Don't think we've covered a TE yet this year.
