Fire Willie Martinez

It was all around another ****** performance on the road in prime time.. Everything needs to get better. Why the hell didn't Heupel run Bishop in the first half. Bama is better against the pass and we played right into their hands. Got outschemed and outcoached tonight.

I'd like to see an OC that brings something to the table. Someone that can have an input and build on Josh's scheme. The defense needs a complete facelift. IDK what to do to fix that monstrosity.

I'm done with playing 3 star freshman recruits at CB. Teams continue to pick on them in critical moments. Need more experienced transfers

It's worse than that, These players are not getting their head around on jump balls. That one play in the endzone Our DB just mugged the Alabama player who is standing still, JUST TURN AND LOOK FOR THE BALL! Its the same thing every year.

???? Third and Chavis come from his poor defenses where they continually gave up third downs of any lengths
That was toward the end but many years of fierce defenses were under Chavis. I do remember third and Chavis much like we are seeing now. But they played hard attacking football otherwise

Yeah, but that happens many times becuase the player is trailing and is panicking becuase they are not in good enough position in the first place. Need to win earlier in the rep.

We already fired him once. So has Georgia. It’s wild how bad we sucked in the secondary last time he was here. Our best player, was a transfer who didn’t have time for Willie to un coach him. Hes sitting this year to just go pro.

At the very least don't get close enough to let the WR pull you to him on an under thrown ball

Josh is sloppy, undisciplined, and overweight. The team plays like that. I’m. It happy with him. He needs to make a lot of staff changes and change the way he does things. He needs to win more and lose less. He needs to manage games better
I was literally considering posting the same thing. I'm not being insensitive, but I don't get how you can hold players to a certain standard that you don't keep yourself.

Yes, I 100% agree. tonight that was not the reason most of the time. They were panicking becasue they don't have their head turned and drawing a PI. I seen 3 plays our DB's were not beat but just panicked and went full send on the Bama WR

You’re spot on. These kids are coached to not get beat so they don’t even play the ball. And ironically get beat most of
The time.

Teaching them to tackle and not run themselves out of the play would be a good start.

I’d like to hear an explanation of the 3rd and 2 late in the third quarter. Show pressure, then drop everyone, 15 yards, leaving the middle of the field open for a simple pitch and catch with the tight end.
One of, if not the dumbest 3rd and short calls I’ve seen in my life. I don’t understand how he can watch all the way up from the coaches box and and think that’ll work. Kent State would’ve converted that 3rd down. The biggest guy that’s eligible to catch a football on that play has NO ONE near him. We always play a prevent style soft zone coverage on 3rd down unless we send a man blitz with a linebacker that runs headfirst straight into a rb or lineman with no pass rush moves. Tim Banks could not dial up a solid 3rd down call if his life depended on it. I’ll never have faith in a dc that sits in the coaches box instead of being on the sideline. If Heupel doesn’t make a dc change after this season it will cost him his job in the future. Tim Banks and this middle school/junior high defense is SOFT.

Martinez not the problem.

Banks, I’m losing excuses for over the course of this season. The drop off from last season is mind boggling, even with starting corners out. Our rush defense has been putrid. It was better this game, but Deboer doesn’t like to run the ball so not sure how much a reflection this game was compared to last 3.

Why bring up his appearance? Such a juvenile thing to do. Criticize his coaching but his weight doesn't make a damn bit of difference. You morons look for anything to talk bad about our coach.

Man Heupel's teams are consistently ill prepared for road games and poorly disciplined....anywhere.
This is my assessment= we don't seem prepared for big games. Other teams watch game film and know what we're going to do, we never change game plans even when we get down in a game. Our plays are so predictable and you never see anything new that might surprise an opponent. The penalties just add to it

It's been happening for 4 years, same old soft defense. Just like Alabama's first possession we have them backed up deep and it's 3rd and long and you know what is about to happen= an automatic pass for a 1st down that gets them out of bad field position, the drive stays alive and they march all the way down and score. Rinse and repeat

I think it started on our first drive of the game. 3rd and 2 and we go under center, motion Matthews and get 1 yard. 4th and 1 we punt.

I love what Heupel has done for this program but we are so unprepared and not 🔒 in for games like this.

It’s a disaster every time. It’s so hard to not watch us play our best 🏈 when it’s must Winn

Fire Willie Martinez, I said that when he was hired. Can't get the job done, no matter how much talent he has!
