Josh needs to make coaching changes (Willie Martinez possibly Banks) in the off season, but that's not what this post is about. The transfer portal HAS to be used for our D next season, if I don't see massive amounts of Defensive players coming in we are screwed, we loose many good DL players next year. I think Our O will be fine, maybe grab a TE and G. I know we have some good players coming in this recruiting class, but we need veterans that are proven in key positions.

Offense lost this game gave up 9 points. The D isnt great but gave the offense mid-field and punted it right back. Need a new OC as well.

Better to get too many portal players than be thin becuase of injury and have to play 3 star freshman. Opposing teams are outright exploiting us any time we trot out a freshman.

I think G-mac is the real deal, go watch whatever film you can of him. From what I hear from people on campus is that he is good enough to start, probably better than joey is many ways, but they are afraid to put him out there as a true freshmen. Also Josh has been known to give the seniors a chance over better talent, it's annoying, but he does this.

It’s not going to matter if Banks is here. He is god awful and no amount of talent can cover up his incompetence.

But Heupel should be looking to replace every linebacker and secondary player in the portal.

Spillman and Perlotte seem a good start, Teelander should go to Kennesaw State and I’m up in the air about Carter.

I'm going to go out on a very short limb and assume that the coaching staff is intimately aware of both their defensive positional deficiencies and their areas of need for the off-season.

As to whether or not they can get the funding and NIL positioning needed to address those deficiencies, who can say? I guess we'll find out.
