2022 absolutely spoiled many of us. Witnessing the defense last year really gave us hope we were so close to putting it all together. Given the offseason I was quick to give Heup a pass on this year. In conclusion, I’m content with an entertaining team. We’re not going to win another championship and I’m okay with that

That is the thing. Tennessee has been through the revolving door of coaches. That leads to disaster. Besides I don’t know who Tennessee could get that is better. Heupel’s teams seem to play bad when a win is needed the most. Just frustrating. Not looking forward to the rest of the season.

Undisciplined on both sides of the ball.
Not gonna beat top teams playing that way.
There’s a pattern here and it’s not good.

Next year is 9 conference games.
It's time for some shake up starting with the defense staff.
Lean heavy on the portal to fix the defense

That’s not at all what happened tonight. The offense choked it away tonight. The D wasn’t great but it did keep Bama under 400 yards and got a big turnover that was promptly messed up.

That's a scary thought too. Milton had all the tools and couldn't put it together. Could say we slipped on the same banana peel with Nico.

Options suck.

Heupel is an ok coach.

He will get fired within 20 months unless he makes sweeping coaching changes.

Defense needs a reset with a new coordinator. We’ve seen enough of this inconsistent defense and lack of awareness. This team under Drinkowitz, Kiffin and Clark Lea would all exceed what Josh is going to do with it this year. Yeah, I said it.

Before the game if you knew the defense would only give up 28 points. Do you think we win?

The defense is trash , but CJH was flat out outcoached tonight.

Just terrible ball management before the half. Just a stupid play call.

Offense comes out discombobulated after the defense gets a turnover and goes 3 and out.

We saw the difference between having a killer instinct tonight and not having it . Against Georgia and Arkansas CJH plays not to lose. Tonight up by 10, DeBoer steps on the neck and goes for the knockout.

This! I try to be optimistic but I also try to keep it real. In order to win in this league you have to be consistent on both sides, offense and defense. This goes for coaches and players. His loyalty to his staff may be his downfall. I can definitely see 8-4 or 7-5.

Gonna use my work ChatGPT account to run a report on 3rd and long defense stops over the course of the last 5 years and isolate the most successful defensive coordinator and have it set to send daily reminders to Josh heupel and Danny white until they hire the guy.

Then I’m gonna ****in bill danny white white the time spent doing that

Having the full 85 man roster isn’t near as big a deal as people want to cry about. Even with full rosters you can only take about 70 on road trips. And in actuality if you go 3 deep on offense and defense your talking 63 players. Even with a practice squad the NFL doesn’t have 85 players.

We have looked poorly coached the last 3 games. But, tonight was a whole different level of ineptitude.

Trends - pre-snap penalties, porous defense, not good (this year) in sudden change plays when we get a turnover. And mental mistakes galore. Poor tackling and get out “physicaled.” Very poor road teams.

Better than previous 3 stooges? 100%.

Will he ever win an SEC title? unlikely.
