I still remember Coach Simpson being such a baby at mid field after UT scored a late TD (with 2nd and 3rd stringers) against UT Martin. He was pretty heated with Heupel. Plus, he admitted to coaching to quicken the game today so he could get to Tuscaloosa. Seems like a heck of a guy. Hopefully ABC can show the Simpson family a few more dozen times.

The sad thing is we are a missed FG and pick 6 away from being the number 2 team in the country. Even with the Georgia loss, if we don’t throw that pick 6 we would be jumping up 5 spots due to all the top 10 teams losing. Penalties, nonexistent pass defense, OL getting blown up, Joey’s JUCO alter ego deciding to poke his head in to see what’s going on, brick hands for receivers, Bad News Bears tackling, horrendous goal line offense. We honestly should have won that game by two scores but the amount of mistakes made us lose by 3 instead.

Sometimes safe and conservative is the best option... Kicking the FG and being down 10-16 with some momentum going into half in my eyes was the thing to do but I'm not the coach...

The SEC is becoming more and more like the NFL. Practically all the teams are evenly matched and it’s going to be a dog fight every week for every team. You used to be able to get away with some mistakes and still win but nowadays the mistakes are magnified, especially on the road, and will end up getting you “blown out” on the scoreboard even though the game was a lot closer than that.

Hell, taking a sack would’ve been a better alternative than a pick 6 lol. I was hoping and praying Bishop was going to tackle him with time ran out but didn’t have enough gas to get there.

I think if Heupel had it to do over in that situation he would have thrown on first down and ran on second down. Called a timeout and thrown again on third down. Hopefully would’ve scored on one of those plays but if not would have ended up kicking a FG. I’ve been a big Heupel supporter but that sequence of events is ultimately on he and Halzle. Just absolute doomsday there at the end of the half. Something told me whenever Staley got tripped up before he could get to the end zone something bad was going to happen. Let the road curse continue 🤮
