Why? I’m referencing people who quit watching. Why should I listen to the people who are so emotionally unstable and immature they can’t finish out a game? Win or lose, regardless if I’m at home or stationed in Korea I find a way to watch every single game.Hairy, most other teams have some type of message boards. You might feel better joining them.
Good point. There were times when I was young I turned it off only to watch ESPN to see the end. Why? I’m referencing people who quit watching. I had to miss the entire season where we beat Bama for the 1st time with Hooker. I was away at BCT. Win or lose I’d rather watch because one day hopefully far in the future one Vols game will be my last Vols game. I have family, friends, loved ones who have passed who will never watch another game on this earth.. the idea and selfishness of skipping a game bc of the outcome, imo, spit on ever former Vols fan who is no longer with us. I have no doubt every one of them would have loved to have watched just one more game.Good point. There were times when I was young I turned it off only to watch ESPN to see the end.

We outgained Alabama in both rushing and passing yards, we missed a very makeable FG to beat Georgia, and you think we don't have the talent to compete? So someone give me a viable reason as to why, 5 years in, we have so many holes in talent compared to other teams? Why, 5 years out, are we stating there is still a talent gap? And why, each year, do we say this recruiting class will close that gap and our WR, DB, LB, OL, DL, QB, etc. are going to match the higher ranked teams?

Dumb mistakes, poor execution at critical times, bad play calling, undisciplined tackling. . . .
Of course not. Receivers need to catch the ball. QB needs to put the ball out of reach of the D back sitting on the play. Kicker needs to hit the FG. But, yes, at the end of the day it's the coaches' responsibility to correct mistakes, prevent stupid penalties, teach proper discipline and tackling, manage the clock, etc.So, dumb mistakes, poor execution, bad play calling, undisciplined tackling...I mean, man, that is A LOT of what football is...
I read that and I think you want to put all this on the coaching--we are not correcting mistakes, teaching during practice, and making dumb play calls during the games....
So, just so I know, are you saying all the talent is there, but our coaching is our downfall?
I'm fine with most of that and agree with most all of that. I am just frustrated that we are seeing the same issues. I do feel like we are a respectable defense away from being legit powerhouse in the national scene.Of course not. Receivers need to catch the ball. There's plenty of blame to go around, but you can't look at our roster and say we don't have talent to compete. Aguilar is easily one of the better QBs in the SEC. Our RB room is stacked. We have playmakers at WR. Our lines have played well, for the most part. Injuries have hurt the defensive backfield, and LB play has been disappointing.
