This season has made me open my eyes a bit more to throw away the “but look at where we were the past decade+!” glasses. I still believe he can get us to championship level football and I still believe he’s an excellent coach, but his decision making regarding staff is sus at best, **** at worst. And his away game coaching has got to change. We can’t be stellar at home and terrible on the road, and expect to make it to Atlanta.Think Heup is a decent coach but his assistants are ass and the play calling in critical situations leaves a lot to be desired.
Unfortunately I don’t ever think he’ll be a championship coach. Can’t seem to get out of his own way at the most critical junctures.
Lmao...choked against UGA last year and this year...choked in this game. Like I said stop making excuses for this crap.Very few teams are winning games on the road consistently. Look around college football.
Were you under the impression we were a top 5 team? Vols were picked 9th in the conference for crying out loud.
This is the least *prepared* team we've had since 2021. We knew this year was a rebuild after everything we lost. I'm impressed with where we are at this point, and see it as a coaching success.Quicker we make changes and stop playing the buddy system the better. Football is in worse position to win a title than men basketball, women basketball, and men’s baseball. And that’s unacceptable for the money maker for this university. We have spent too much on this staff and players to play how we have. This is not a well coached team.
