It was a dumb play call but not because we passed. It was dumb how we went into that package when they knew we had to pass. Running there and getting stuffed to end the half would have been nearly as dumb

Running there was the right call based on what the defense was showing. They have everyone on the edges with no safety or linebacker help in the middle, it was soft in the middle and we absolutely should have run the ball there.

To me the call on second down would have been a great call on first down. Once you burn your last time out you just can’t make that call. You also don’t expect Joey to under throw it that much though. Oh well it sure changed the complexion of the game. Kentucky might give us fits next week. We should At least play aggressive in the second half. No turtling tonight.
