I’ve been keeping up with the Mariners and Jays series because those are evenly matched teams. I don’t regret missing an all-time performance of a hated rival. That’s like us watching Alabama or Georgia. I don’t give a damn about them and hope they all choke.

You and I could “manage” that Dodgers lineup to a championship. Oh man how will we ever make a lineup work with Betts, Ohtani, Freeman, and Hernandez? And how will I be able to find innings for those 7 all star caliber pitchers? So many difficult decisions to make 🤣

Yeah I’m saddened Tony is loving. Will always love what he did for our program and he was all-in while he was here. You won’t find a harder worker. Truly blessed that we were able to call him our coach but what he also did was prove that you can win at Tennessee and you can win big as long as you have the right people in place. I hope he has a long 20 year managerial career in the majors. I know it’s especially bitter sweet for yourself going to a division rival.

I do have faith, but you and I both know CTV was/is a unicorn and the hard part to swallow is that I knew this day was coming but failed to prepare myself.
He is going to be hard to replace.

Just think about all the happy moments he brought us. We were a poverty baseball program and he brought us up from the depths of Hell. Can’t hate on the man for making a decision for himself. He doesn’t have a wife or kids so go do you brother and enjoy your life.

He got us a championship and we never thought that was possible based on the years prior to his hiring. I’ll look at it as us having 1 more national championship that we otherwise would have never deserved. Just count your blessings he chose to come to Tennessee. He will always be a VFL in my eyes. He isn’t leaving us for another college program. He is setting out to do something no other person has ever done. Nobody has ever made the jump from college coach to MLB manager. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
