I'm impressed by Vandy TEs catch radius. Two great grabs on this drive by different guys.

Also, I did not realize we lost Jordan Matthew's to Vandy in the portal. I remember this guy was supposed to be a great steal from LSU. Now he's starting for Vandy.

I wondered at what point Pavia was going to pull it down and run. Guess that was it. This kid and his mouth, though…I hope it’s us that closes it hard for him at the end of the season.

Saban's record as a coach -vs- everyone else on that stage.

Never play cards with a guy called "Pops".
That reminds me of the coach on “Teen Wolf’: : "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body."

Yeah, that was hugely disappointing to lose Matthews. Very much a surprise to me.

Vandy has improved and made upgrades in multiple areas using the portal. I like Pavia's competitiveness but dude is hard to like.

Guess they will call defensive offsides. That was a big one.

Vandy playing like a ranked team so far.
Hard to believe they weren't ranked more when Franklin was there.

My memory is a bit spotty from that era (how time flies), but I seem to remember any time they had a shot at getting a good ranking, they’d play one of their hardest matchups of the year and lose their chance. I think divisions going out has helped them quite a bit in that regard.

MAN, I thought that was really good coverage and he knocked the ball away. These SEC refs there’s no telling how their brains function.
