Who Has The OLDEST VN Account?

@Freak, @LadyinOrange , and @GAVol should be around board creation, late 2003. I joined Sept 2004. Plenty of other OGs still around, like my good friend @bigdaddy . We just about all knew each other in the early days and had several "meet and greets" before games, downtown, etc. We would have never dreamed the board would grow into what it is today.

1. an admin account I used to set up the site.
2. Freak (vol_freak as it was at that time).

after that were some people I knew.

3. Rheaber
4. Old School Vol
5. VestVol

@DrRosenRosen was #18
@LadyinOrange was #25
@Larkin was #26
@orangetd88 was #31

Now that I think about it, the order now may not have been the order in which they actually joined. I had a board set up on a free site and when I moved over, I beleive the users were manually moved over in a random order.... but I'm not positive. I've slept since then.

If I remember right, when you switched servers, we actually had to manually re-register. But that was like 22 years ago and I was using dial up, so what do I know?

When I first joined you could start a thread at 8am and it might not get it's first response until 6 that night. More people in the arcade than on the forums back then.

You're probably right. I remember one of my close friends was member #2 or #3 and he was upset with me when I changed over and he was like #50. lol.

We had some hardcore arcade enthusiasts back in the day.

The arcade was serious effing business to a lot of early members. I accidentally broke the Yahtzee record once…it lasted all of about 8 hours.

I perused for a few years before I finally registered. Interestingly enough, it was the recruitment of Scotty Hopson and then dying to know how he was doing in camp that drove me to finally sign up.

Was I the first moderator? I know I was the first female moderator. Some nights it would just be 2 or 3 posters. lol, I remember the Friday night "party" threads. Good times.

You were indeed the first moderator. We had so few members I think you used to start a thread welcoming each new member when they joined.

I joined while I was in Iraq.

We had like 4 computers at the little outpost we were on. Limited to an hour at a time (if someone was waiting, and there usually was).

Man thinking about when I joined, I used to walk around our outpost with a Vols hat on.

It was only our platoon, so we could do that. Of course we had to look proper if any of the "top brass" came around.
