'27 TN LB JP Peace (Tennessee commit)

Per Ryan Callahan, Peace has only been playing football for three years now and is just now growing into his body.

Started earning offers before even starting.

Sounds like his best football is ahead of him.
Was/is a promising baseball guy from my understanding.

Are you ever excited about one of our recruits?

This kid a pure linebacker? He grows much more, he'll be in LEO territory.
Yes he’s a mike just like his Dad was. And I am happy we are back to recruiting the 6’3 215lb thumpers who can fly, that turn into 6’3 230lb monsters. The 6’1 205lb, who turns slow as molasses once they put on 15lbs, module isn’t working out to good. More Perlotte’s and Rouse’s please.

PS, the Jackson, MS kid will be good too, but he’s already college sized at 230 so he’s a bit different,

Glad Perlotte is a vol. Green could not outrun him to edge, like he did against Telander on multiple occasions.

Need. I hope we get from Buford every year

Not taking anything away from his speed, but Perlotte took a great angle on that play...something our other linebackers haven't been good at.
The angle you take is proportional to your speed+ball carriers speed. His angle was good because of how quickly he closed the gap. If another LB took the exact same angle they would have lost leverage and gotten beat up the sideline. But you are correct, we take done bad angles. Usually because they do not accurately judge their speed vs ball carriers speed.
