Who was the last good one we got? Savion Williams, Emmitt gooden and Darel Middleton were all fairly recent busts.

Byron Young came from JUCO. Drafted in the 3rd round and is currently second in the NFL in sacks.

Dee Williams was another JUCO recruit who panned out pretty well here under Heup.

Definitely more busts overall coming out of JUCO, but there are also diamonds in the rough (Kamara, Cordarelle Patterson, etc.)

Agreed. We are desperately missing players with his body type and skill set on the DL this season.

He was a high school WR, played LB/Edge in JUCO, and moved inside to DT at UT. I think he’ll be a factor in 2026.

Not that I know of. I know we‘ve been hurting for depth and the true freshmen seem to be ahead of him in the rotation. He played some snaps vs UAB and ETSU so I don’t think he’s hurt.
