So uga Arkansas and miss st are cupcakes now?
UGA isn't the dominant team they have been. Won't be shocked to see Ole Miss get them in Athens Saturday, and yes, compared to what coming on the schedule, Arky and MSU are cupcakes. You can try and pump up the schedule if you like, but that won't change the fact that it gets exponentially tougher from here on out.

Exponentially? Time for bed.

Uh...they've got some talent. Sadly we've said this very thing many times over the years and have come away with yet another L on the record.
Agree it’s a loss. And they have talent. But as a team, they are not a good team. One’s performance in sports is judged by wins and losses. Ifs and but don’t mean 💩 at the end of the day.

So, my earlier point is this yr is the best opportunity for TN to go on the road and beat FL. They are not in the running for the SEC championship game nor playoffs.

There is dissension within the organization -roster. The locker room is a mess and Napier may be fired before our game. What more can you ask for if you are TN - Especially with Joey surprising us all with is incredible play.

Saying they had no business losing to South Florida just means you agree with me. That they’re far better than their record
Stop it. I don’t agree - 😆 .A good Fl team would NOT lose at home v. south Fl. They are not a good team. They have individual talent but not putting it together on the field.

It’s okay to disagree. You won’t change my opinion and I won’t change yours. Life goes on. It’s okay - relax.

So again, have A good weekend. We can agree we want our Vols to beat FL when in a few weeks. But first, it’s Bama.

Go Vols!

Oklahoma will be by far our biggest test from a pass rush standpoint. They're tied with us for most sacks per game in the country at 4.2
We are the sole team at the top of the league in team sacks at 4.33 per game. Oklahoma has 3.66 and 4 less sacks than we do. Still a good pass rush but we're a step above

Would have to look at box scores to check, but the site I use says it only counts stats from FBS matchups/leaves out stats compiled vs FCS teams, so I suppose that's where the discrepancy comes in.

That's not exactly a fair comparison, they got to pad their stats by playing Auburn....

This is the first year since the Fulmer era where I've actually felt some level of confidence in the team in big games. I expect them to win tomorrow against Bama though it won't be easy, and I expect wins vs OU and Vandy, and barring injuries or whatever of course, I expect multi score wins. Bama is a concern as it's a hostile environment and Simpson is playing some great football, but Kane Wommack is such a bad DC vs the spread I think we'll just outscore them tomorrow regardless of what Simpson does. First time in over 15 years I've felt confident in a win vs Bama so it's strange, and maybe I end up way off, but that's the feeling I have all the same.

Florida is a concern just because it feels like some mental block exists for our program when it comes to playing them. It doesn't seem to matter how much better our talent, coaching or whatever else is, we're going to make it difficult to win against them. One huge plus we have this year is it's in November so the heat isn't so bad, and our leadup to them is a bye, New Mexico State then Florida. So we'll basically have 3 weeks to prep for Florida. But even with that, hard to be full of confidence all the same.
Agree 100%. I'm still at the point, where losing seasons aren't so far in the rear mirror that just knowing we can, and do compete and win against most any team in the country or SEC makes being a Vol fan fun again. We can beat Bama and won't be surprised if we do.

Besides JH lifting Vols up, the talent spread of transfer portal and NIL, makes most every saturday awesome...I mean, just look at today's SEC slate. You could argue that except for maybe KY, there's a world where the underdogs win every one of the games... OK, TaM and MIZ are all favorites obviously, but there's a good chance at least one of them lose, playing at SC, ARK, AUB.

Lance is playing much better this season since he is not playing through injuries and has lost some weight, according to Coach Google.
