Its partly bc teams can run on them pretty easilyCould this right here be the key stat to watch for a Tennessee win?
Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar has been a steady presence in the passing game for well beyond his time in Knoxville. He leads FBS in most consecutive games with at least 200 yards passing with 30. And if he's going to make it 31, he's going to have to become the first quarterback this season to do it to the Alabama defense.
The Crimson Tide defense has not allowed a 200-yard passer so far this season
Alabama had a rough start to the season, getting pushed around by Florida State in a 31-17 loss. Despite surrendering 31 points, FSU QB Tommy Castellanos totaled just 152 yards passing.
However, that would not be a one-off for the Crimson Tide defense. In a 24-21 win at Georgia, Alabama held UGA QB Gunner Stockton to just 130 passing yards. Two weeks ago against Vanderbilt, Diego Pavia came close but finished with 198 yards through the air. Last week, Missouri QB Beau Pribula had a season-low 162 passing yards with 2 interceptions.
And that's why they're the dang professionals. Wow.We have 2 little girls. Second one born this past January. During labor the head nurse and all others attempted to figure out what was going on. Heart rate and breathing were starting to act weird, but couldn’t figure anything out (at least I think that was it…I also had the flu during this time so I was out of it). Doc came in and within 10 seconds she ordered an immediate c-section. Glad she did because my baby girl had the umbilical cord wrapped around her throat. If she would have been born normally she wouldn’t have made it.
Congrats on the baby girl! Hope mom is doing well!
I'm seeing just about everybody say this is going to be a shootout. Taking the over. But taking TN to cover the 7.5 spread. Most saying its going to be a close one.
What's in our favor here is that Bama's not been great running the ball and our run defense is shockingly our weakness. So when we are on D, its weak on weak and our strength on theirs. Maybe that helps us out. We're going to have to force turnovers though.
TBH what the spread is doing aligns with past vol losses. Bets % higher to TN than the % of money. People are betting TN, but that's to cover a pretty wide spread to start with. Against our biggest foes we have sucked beating Vegas. What is the line doing? I know earlier it was -115 on TN plus 8.5 and -105 on Alabama with 59% of the money on the Vols on FanDuel. Those lines mean even at 8.5 FanDuel expects TN to cover more than Alabama. Wondering who the crew is for this weekend.
