At the gym this morning

I drove down to Chattanooga a few days ago.

Went to the Tennessee River at TN-Bama line.

I saw a group of people swimming just past the state line.

I knew they were Bama fans because a couple of them had on houndstooth hats and a couple of the women were as big as whales.

I dropped my shorts and launched a log there way and I watched.

As it got closer they began to stare.

Once it got closer they began to circle and I could hear them talking.

They were saying is that a log as they circled.

Then one got really close and started smelling it and said it smells like sh&t.

Then they began to circle it again.

Then I seen one of the whales stick her finger in it and put it in her mouth and she OMG it is sh$t.

And then you could see a sigh of relief come from their faces as the whale said I’m glad we didn’t step in it.

Back in the 70s when attending UT, I met Bear Bryant in the parking lot of the hotel the Bama team and my UT buddies were staying at. Told him it was nice to meet him but, it would be nicer if the Vols won in Birmingham that sunny Saturday Fall afternoon. Yup, I told old Bear off for sure.
You did your part, but we know how it turned out. 😩

Wednesday, 10/15, I was riding my bicycle in Gwinnett county, Georgia. As I pulled away from a stoplight, making a left turn, a woman driving a car saw my Tennessee jersey and shouted, “Go Vols!”

We’re everywhere. GBO.
