I think the SEC gets four in the playoff. if Mizzou finishes 10-2, they are out with how bad their schedule is. Bama, UGA, UT, and A&M is my guess. Ole Miss has a good shot at 10-2, but I think we would get in over them if we finish the way we should. Let’s just finish 11-1 and let the other teams worry about it.Normally I would say 10-2 and we're in. However this year in college football it's weird man... I can realistically see 7 or more teams from the SEC/Big10 all with 10-2 records at the end of the year. We all know the constant disrespect we receive from the media/talking heads. Lets say there are 4 spots left in the playoff and 7 teams all sitting at 10-2. I honestly believe they find a way to justify keeping us out. I wouldn't agree with it but would bet my bottom dollar it happens.
I hate when Tennessee lines up in what looks like a 4-2-5 with both LBs outside the tackles and two deep safeties. It leaves the middle of the field wide open and is so easy to run against. Our defense hasn’t been great but it’s really been third downs and random busts leading to big plays. If we execute better on one third down each quarter, we start winning by two TDs.
Pretty sure this is a CFP play-in game for us this week. Maybe Bama too, since their FSU loss is looking worse and worse. These are the current possible minus USC. Teams that I think have a realistic chance in orange, but I think winner of UGA/Ole Miss will knock the other out and we wind up with (4)10-2 teams

Ole Miss plays UGA, USC, OK, Florida, and Egg Bowl-probably drop 1-2 games and fall to 10-2 or 9-3
A&M plays Arky, Texas, Mizz, USC, and LSU- might run the table but probably in the playoff unless they fall apart
Bama plays UT, USC, LSU, OK, and iron bowl- probably in the playoffs but could still fall to 9-3
Georgia plays Ole Miss, Texas, Miss St, Florida, and Ga Tech-same boat as Ole Miss
LSU plays Vandy, A&M, Arky, Bama, and OK- think they have at least 2 losses finish 9-3
UT plays Bama, OK, FL, and Vandy- think we finish 10-2 and get playoff if we play to our level
Texas plays Vandy, Miss St, Arky, UGA and A&M- think they drop 1-2 of these games and finish 9-3 or 8-4
Mizz plays Auburn away, Vandy, A&M, Miss St, Arky, and OK - Likely drop 2 and finish 9-3
OK plays USC East, UT, Ole Miss, Bama, Mizz and LSU- think they at least drop 2 more
Vandy plays LSU, Texas, Auburn, Mizz, and UT - probably drop at least 2
Miss St only needs to drop one more game and they are out
Fl and Ark both have a non conference loss as well so are already out
This game is everything. No more "saving players for the rest of the year", or holding anything back. This is the main event and we'll see everyone with the pedal on the floor.Pretty sure this is a CFP play-in game for us this week. Maybe Bama too, since their FSU loss is looking worse and worse.
Yes sir! Remember that vividly. I thought that set up perfectly as a trap game for us. We are more experienced than we were against Georgia. A little healthier. I expect we will see the offense open back up with the new wrinkles and motion. We have an experienced leader at QB. We were up double digits 2 years ago before the refs took over and we let it snowball. This team is used to being screwed over by refs. They will overcome them.Hell yeah brother!!!
I remember you being a little positive at that Auburn game when we had Pruitt and we ironically were like 2 rows in front of you. Vibes are up!!
They beat uga at uga, they'll be a top 2 loss team. This game is everything. No more "saving players for the rest of the year", or holding anything back. This is the main event and we'll see everyone with the pedal on the floor.
We're gonna dominate the clowns in red and they won't know what hit them.
41-27 Vols
This is what frustrates me about the defense. Why do you stop doing what is working and go to something that is not working and has almost never worked? Why are we worried if we give up a big play? We have the offense to score. If we are better playing man, I would take my chances versus death by a million papercuts in zone and hope they make a mistake. Just my opinion.Disagree. Man was fine against UGA and Stockton got lucky. He hit throws he hasn’t since. We win by two TDs if he plays normal. Played more man in the second half against Arkansas and it worked for almost all the second half until we went prevent when we got a lead.
I wonder if its much more of a mix Saturday. This is what Bama does they do not create big explosives on offense. Ty is a zone killer and they like to methodically dink & dunk you down the field. Anyone that knows a lick about the game can watch the film and figure that out though so I assume we adjust. This is what frustrates me about the defense.
