I have been listening more and more the last year. I first listened to critique and was a little one sided from some of the negative post on here. The more I listen the more and more I have enjoyed his shows. I have listened to all the TN radio shows and sports shows. Several so called "award winning" shows. Dad burn his shows are great. They are very entertaining, they have great guest, very knowledgeable TN sport history, and very funny at times. In my opinion his show is top notch and checks a bunch of boxes for all sports and especially UT sports. I really enjoy the shows with BEANO. I just thought I would share in case some folks on here put stock into the Negative Tony B post. You may want to think for yourself. Im glad I did.

Majority of people that bash on him have never listened to him or read anything he writes. I find him a little annoying to listen to, but I do read his page some. He has broken many more stories that he has whiffed on, yet majority of VN will never acknowledge that. He occasionally has some pretty good recruiting info, though much less in the NIL era.

I have been listening to Tony for 30+ years and have no plans to stop. I always tune in to his post game shows, win or lose. His style is very informal, just the way I like it. He and his guests talk just like we would sitting at a table having a drink and eating nachos.

His different daily guests are usually very good. I know a lot of folks on here don’t like John Adams from what his columns have had over the years, but I usually enjoy his commentary on the days he’s on, and it’s usually very positive towards U.T., and he’s kinda funny giving Tony and some of the others a hard time. Watson Brown usually has good insight from a coach’s perspective, and I like when Tony brings in guests that cover other teams we will be playing to discuss what’s going on in theirs programs. Mike Huguenin is good on Fridays to discuss good games and players to watch each weekend, since he seems to know something about every team and some of the best players we might not know about.

It’s people that take sports, and themselves, too seriously. They personally just hate the guy. They will bring up stuff from years ago he was off about, which he himself has admitted tons of times and makes fun of himself for. He can get on nerves every now and then, as anyone can, but I’ve been listening 30 years and it’s always entertaining. He makes it fun for fans, and has done so much for the community. The dude will do anything for anyone and I have experienced this first hand.

The John Adams haters are also people who take it all way too seriously. Dude is hilarious. His job isnt to be a fan. He’s a columnist. He is supposed to provide commentary and solicit engagement. Neither of these guys are journalists, and they don’t claim to be, and that seems to be where the confusion is.

Have listened to Tony since the 1990s off and on and usually enjoy him especially the 5th quarter show after games.

Beeno, John Adams, Cinco, etc all are great (especially Beeno).

Does he get fixated on certain topics and spends way too much time talking about it (like lack of wr depth this year and Will brooks in the preseason last year)? Yes

Does he love Tennessee sports and gives a lot back to the community? An emphatic yes

Been listening to Tony B since 1998. The post game shows for football, basketball, and baseball are fantastic. The work he does with Amachi Knoxville and the hospitality pantries shows his character.

All of us should also thank him for "Schiano Sunday" and helped prevent what was about to happen.

Love Tony been listening for years. I think his daily blog is some of the best information you can get for free. I love all the guests. My favorite is Matt Dixon it's obvious he is a known ball knower. I hardly ever disagree with one of Matts takes. Whenever Tony finally gives it up the airways are going to have a big dead spot for sure.
