It’s sad this game won’t be played at 3:30 on CBS. The 2022 Intro was the best game intro ever. This game is supposed to be played on a crisp late afternoon on CBS.

Nothing that has happened to this point matters, the defensive woes, the puzzling conservative play calling(at times) by Josh and Tim, this is the TSIO and everything will be thrown at bama. More steam all day. This will be a team that is cocked and locked, ready to bring the fight to Alabama all game.

It’s year 5. Josh will get the big road win and end the streak of road losses at BD. Tennessee 37-23

The 1995 game in which Peyton broke the streak in Birmingham by throwing an 80 yard TD to Joey Kent on play #1 was a night game. So was the next year in Knoxville. And the next year in Birmingham. All Vol wins.

Banks has a great blueprint from the Missouri defense. They were in Simpsons face all day long. He was never comfortable.
Excellent point! I was going to type something similar. He might murder us over the middle and slant us to death but the pressure is gonna be there. We might see 'deer in the headlights, FSU' Simpson. Shocked Kirby couldn't generate more pressure in that game. If given the time, that kid can put it where he wants it all game.

The real loser in this is CBS. Last weeks Oregon versus Indiana game was probably their biggest broadcast yet this year and still ABC had higher ratings.

Agreed. It actually was their most watched game of the season so far and unfortunately for them still well below what the SEC is doing. The Red River game drew 8.7M, Bama/Mizzou had 7M, and UGA/Auburn was 6.7M.

The game broadcast averaged 5.59 million viewers with a peak of 8.361 million, according to CBS, which also uses Nielsen Big Data + Panel ratings. That was up 31% from last year’s Week 7 game between Penn State and USC and the network’s most-watched Week 7 game since 2022, when Tennessee upset Alabama.

The '22 Tenn/Bama game that they compared to drew 11.56M - more than double the Indiana/Oregon game.

It was a 3:30 start game, actually (I was there). It did end in the dark, though.
