Every Republican and 4 democrats have voted to open the government multiple times now but they need a total of 60 votes total but you know that as of today they need 5 more dems to vote yes to reopen the government.

The fact Democrats want to keep the government shutdown going till their No Kings protest tells you all you need to know especially while Trump is leading the way on peace in the Middle East. That’s one heck of a King we have

Roy said, “[W]hat we have is the absurdity of having 400 billion dollars additional taxpayer subsidy that would — that’s what it would cost taxpayers over the next decade, over 40 billion a year…that goes into the hip pockets of the insurance companies.”

He added, “Now, you may have noticed in D.C, New York, and places where politicians run on the Acela Corridor, insurance companies are running a lot of ads. Now, it may surprise people to know the healthcare industry spends almost three-quarters of a billion dollars on lobbying Washington every year. That’s six times more than the defense industry. Why? Because they want that free money, Now, you and I both know it’s not free.”

They make the rules. Change them. They have the ability to. It isn't without precedence. I think they are afraid if they do then the dims are gonna give it to them raw when they take over in a few years.
When the Democrats get finished with their little temper tantrum they will get on with governance. But if they keep this up, they are not going to be around in a few years. He's what they are worried about:G3KdFysWAAAoX1L.jpeg

Would love to see an actual proposal to fix the issue from the GOP but they seem content to just end the subsidies and do nothing else.
