I don't see it that way. IMO, we don't get to Simpson without blitzing. That puts stress where we're least likely to be able to handle it.

You should just give up then. Don’t even watch the game really. No hope other than for the sky to fall. You don’t think these guys can get up for a game of this magnitude? Please just let it play out. Watch and see….could be really good for the good guys

His stats against non cupcakes ulm and Wisconsin are pretty average. Is he good and a game manager? Yes. Is he the next Namath as you seem to suggest? In my opinion hell no

Another random thought. IMO what Joeys done under the circumstances doesn’t get the media attention he should get. Don’t get me wrong, Simpson is solid. I’m not discounting him and I’m not saying Joey is better. But if Joey is what I suspect he is, he’s probably heard all the Simpson talk that he cares to hear. If our defense struggles then the he may be the difference maker

I don’t think so because we’re an underdog and will be much more focused for this game. I don’t think we’ll win but I also think we’ll keep it competitive.

Night game in Tuscaloosa.. against a QB that we'll make look like a heisman winner VS our defense and you already know coach will go conservative..I don't really see how we should win this game...I'm hopeful but I'm prepared for it

I want nothing more than to win in Tuscaloosa, but my prediction based on everything I’ve seen from both teams is that we lose by 8-12 points, so that’s what I expect to see Saturday night. So be it.

All I can say is I hope you are wrong. I’m never going to bet against my Vols against any opponent. We play our best when our backs are against the wall. Frig Bama and their fan base. Go Vols beat that bunch and bring a W back to K-town.

The Bama that lost to FSU and the FSU team that beat Bama are nowhere to be found as of today. Both teams have proven who they are over the last five games - one is worlds better, one is worlds worse.

Bamma hasn't beaten anyone with Miller out.
He played in their last three games. Not sure he plays Saturday.
After the loss to FSU, bamma was 5 and 5 in their last 10 games. They haven't suddenly become someone they're not.

Need some sacks in this one...

If Mathews doesn't quit running on that deep pass for a TD then it's different game.
If Bama tries to shut down Brazzel like Arkie did, then here's hoping the others step up in a big way.

I doubt bama runs over us like uga, msu and arky. But, we still have to stop it when they do run the ball.
We must limit our own 3 and outs and make their defense work harder. We have to get our defense off the field on 3rd downs.
We should score early and we just cannot let off the gas. I understand if our defense is getting tired we have to slow down a bit, but bottom line is we have to keep taking shots down the field.
Our D relies on QB pressure and getting TFL. That doesn't seem to be sustainable. Our DBs will have their hands full Saturday and if it were me I would have them getting rough with the bama WRs at the line of scrimmage. Pop them pretty good right off the bat to disrupt timing and let them know we are not taking any crap off anybody.
Punch everybody right in the mouth from the first whistle. Ty Simpson needs to get hit hard early and often. So does Williams.
