Israel vs Palestinians II

An uprising with half the territory occupied by Israel and a well armed hamas in the other half would have little chance of success. Hamas being replaced via elections should be a requirement of the ceasefire but then Trump's involved so there's no telling what's been agreed. Between hamas, Trump and Bibi there's not a scruple to be found.
You really think any kind of election is going to make any difference?

Joe Biden and Netanyahu were offered Gaza deal a year ago, says negotiator Joe Biden and Netanyahu were offered Gaza deal a year ago, says negotiator

From the article:

“This deal could have been done a long time ago,” Baskin wrote in an essay revealing his involvement. “Hamas agreed to all of the same terms in September 2024 in what became known as the ‘Three Weeks Deal’ that I had received in writing and voice message in Arabic and in English. But at that point the response of the Israeli negotiators was that ‘the prime minister did not agree to end the war’.”

Did you catch this from the article?

Hamas signalled their agreement, despite silence on key issues such as disarmament, and Trump enthusiastically accepted.

It would take a few more days before Turkish, Egyptian and Qatari mediators met the Americans in Sharm el-Sheikh, where they shuttled for three days between Israeli and Hamas representatives. At 2am on Thursday, the Israelis and Hamas left their separate enclaves to face each other for the first time. “The deal was signed,” Baskin wrote.

This deal was not a deal until these other Arab countries were on board and that didn't happen until last week. Furthermore it took the strength and leadership of Trump to get Bibi to agree to it. Bibi wasn't on board with this a year ago 'cause he wanted to continue to bomb and pummel Gaza. Trump told him enough's enough

Correct. You don't have a deal until Israel is on board. Trump got them on board

Another day and another load of manure from the IDF's number 2 fanboy.
Yes a genocide was happening and yes children and women and old men and aid workers and other noncombatants were being indiscriminately killed.
With that property destruction came plenty of death and maiming.
Who supports protesters destroying private property?
So much blame on Israel being bloodthirsty for civilian life, yet….

I give Trump great credit for this and in particular for getting Netanyahu on board with pressure. Nobody in their right mind would wish for anything other than for this peace deal to somehow evolve into a road for a permanent peace. Paraphrasing Henry Kissinger, realistically that is far easier said than done because in the ME when you lock up one problem, you have created the key to the next one.

I will add to the kudos for Trump for leaning on Netanyahu that Trump's transactional style may be exactly what works with the powers that be that can get a permanent peace to take hold. There are a lot of industries doing well in the ME and if they can control their governments and quash the religious malcontents over time out of their own self-interest, then that may be what turns the tide.

Not saying there won't always be tension and isolated acts of violence and terror. But if economic interests can become the driver of how these countries treat each other, and view each other as markets for goods and services, rather than the source of grievance for centuries-old religious differences, maybe they can all grow up.

Obama didn't deserve one but neither does Trump. They aren't going to give it to a guy sending the military into his country 's cities for political purposes.
He ended 8 conflicts in 9 months. The narrative of "Trump bullies citizens for political purposes!" is just plain stupid. He's doing his job as president to protect the American people from Marxist extremists who will cause violence just because.

Also, just found this out... some of ANTIFA's roots came from a Marxist army group during WW2. Interesting.

It's a show sending the military into cities. He's an unfit clown

Yes, Biden was unfit. Total BS on Chicago and Portland. It's only happening around the ICE facilities. A block outside of it everything is fine.
So, you admit that it's happening? I'm not implying city wide insurgency, but there is definitely some nearby, and it will spread if it isn't extinguished.
