'27 TN RB David Georges

This is from the Steve Wiltfong article today:

The 6-foot, 205-pound Gabriel Georges is physically ready to play college football right now and in the reclassification era there has been some dialogue about him potentially making the move to 2026. Tennessee doesn’t have a running back committed in the 2026 class and there has been some talk about what that would look like if Gabriel-Georges did reclassify.

Whether it’s the small chance of 2026 or in 2027, Tennessee is a major contender for Gabriel Georges if not the top overall target in the junior class. Josh Heupel and his staff have faired very well with their top target each cycle since arriving in Knoxville.

Imagine trying to catch Deseasn Bishop and Star Thomas down all game, then after you're tired. P Lew just bowls you over. His energy in last game was fantsstic.

It sounds like the stars are aligning and this dude can come in next season. Add him with Faison, Keys, Osenda, King, Blair, Legend, Moa, and Baker and that'd be the best offensive class I can remember.

Get them all, Heup!

I'm not doubting Georges ability. I've been watching and wanting this recruit since seeing the film last year.

However, it is naive to think you can compare Georges to all the great backs that have come through the state and rank him the best. Your assessment is based on your experience. He is in the upper echelon in recent memory though.

I used a little known back as an example who was a grown man before there was hudl and the internet. I played against Karl Williamson who landed at Mississippi State. Big, fast, strong. He was just a knucklehead. There are better backs I have not mentioned.
1 name....

Xavier Crawford.
