HBO MAX/Discovery+ (Warner Bros/Discovery)

This Telemarketers doc is crazy. Gives me PTSD about having had one of these jobs in high school. I hated and it and quit with no notice. My parents were so pissed at me and I told them it was a scam. They thought I was just making **** up because I didn't want to work there, which was half true, but the company got raided by the feds 18 months later, LOL.

These calls you get where they claim to be raising money for the police and fire departments are a total scam. They buy the rights to raise money in the name of the PD's and FD's, but they pay the PD's and FD's a set fee up front, so whatever they raise from you goes into their own pockets.

100% a joke.

I still say it should have been something with Warner Bros.

I was coming here to post something like, "Well, yeah. Every person on VN even knows it should have always been HBO." and here you are, LOL.

HBO is definitely a better brand than WB. WB is a great movie studio and a crappy TV studio. HBO is the Father of premium television, and it's still king 30 years later. Name your streaming service after HBO.

Task is so good. I thought that was the finale. They do have a few loose ends to tie up, but the ending is also implied in a satisfying enough way. Anyway, I'm not complaining. Best drama I've seen in a long time.

It's outstanding. I thought the same thing, I knew it was 7 episodes but thought I had counted wrong and it was the last one.

I hope they stick the landing and don't try to rush to tie up everything. It's ok to end a show without everything being tied up nicely, actually makes it more realistic.

its pretty good. ruffalo steals the show.

Ruffalo is great but Tom Pelphrey is seriously one of the best under the radar actors out there. He's been great in everything, even Iron Fist. I think he's probably the next Pedro Pascal/Walton Goggins in that he's about to break out and make it big.

He did a nice job. Pedro really popped to me in Narcos. Obviously, Mando is fantastic.

Walton is pretty niche, best at his craft.

Pelphrey is good, but has a ways to go as others you described.

Pelphrey's niche right now is being a great supporting actor. He needs a role where he's the lead to stand out. But then again maybe that's his sweet spot. Certainly nothing wrong with a career as a great supporting person.

Imo they didnt give this character ... well anyway. Great show.
