Vanderbilt can’t handle success.

The only point I made was how dumb the old dude looks because he lets a college kid live in his head. Expecting an older man to be above a college kid isn’t asking much
The thread you responded to was about a guy speaking to a lewd 24 year old about being inappropriate in front of his children. Is it too much to ask you to read what your commenting on?

It happened like 10 minutes before kickoff in a packed stadium on the road. It wasn’t directed at his kids. It’s an immature person trying to hype himself up for a big game on the road.

And your opening post doesn’t say anything. You posted two tweets with no original thought of your own

Only balls Pavia could hold onto in the game or pregame was apparently his own. Had his temu Baker Mayfield moment. He's kind of a punk. The running the state interview with Lewan kind of confirmed it before the year started.. Making himself a target really isn't all that wise..

Vandy used to renowned for the intelligence of their athletes. Not seeing that in Pavia.

Yet you missed the tweets.. There were only two of them!

There hasn’t been anything more disturbing than you calling what he did “hyping himself up”.

Did Herbstreit call for Pavia’s expulsion?

Y’all won the game why are you still mad? Lol

When you decide to lower yourself and act the exact same way you resent someone else of acting then you have become them and you lose.

I’d say talking trash to the fans is exactly what hyping yourself up would look like. Calling what he did lewd is just soft though. It’s immature but it’s not a reason to lose your ****.

Again it happened right before kickoff in packed stadium. It wasn’t about a dad protecting his family. He’s a dude with a fragile ego that saw his moment because his team won

I have no issue with Pavia’s antics. I love confident QB’s who talk the talk. The problem is he’s at Vandy so he’s already got one arm tied behind his back.
I have an issue to an extent. Just play the dang game. Do not practice the victory formation or even grab your junk pregame. That isn’t confident talk, it’s arrogance.

Pavia is exactly what Vandy needs/needed and Lea knows it. I doubt Pavia believes half the crap he says but it puts asses in seats and believing you can win is half the battle
Yep. Especially at Vandy. Pavia is playing the heel role, and he's very good at it.

Once again, this isn’t a new thing. Players in various sports have been doing this move for decades. It didn’t just suddenly happen.

Some people really are too sensitive. I encourage you to not watch any of the Major League movies. I’m sure you would walk out of the theater within minutes.

And players generally get penalized/fined for doing that too. It's the exact same as flipping people off, which happens all the time and players get fined/penalized for it depending on what level you are playing at. I imagine if the refs were paying attention pre-game to those antics, Vandy would likely have been assessed a pre-game penalty.

Now did the Bama fan overreact? Sure he did. That doesn't make what Pavia did "ok."

Jordan Beck flipped off an entire baseball team after hitting a homerun and no one said anything. Which means that people are only triggered by Pavia because of who he plays for. Hell Gaulden flipped off the entire stadium in 2017 and no one said anything critical.

Quit the pearl clutching Francis.

Pearl clutching? Grow up dude. It's simply a fact that those actions almost always get you penalized and/or fined at various levels of sports. That doesn't mean the fan didn't overreact. But you are insane if you think that is perfectly acceptable behavior.

Deion Branch literally got fined in the NFL a year ago for flipping off the entire stadium. Jerry Jones got fined 250k for flipping off Jets fans. Marshawn Lynch was fined 20k for a crotch grab. So let's not act like this is universally acceptable behavior. If there are penalties for doing, it's probably a good bet that it isn't considered acceptable behavior.

And I imagine no fans on here said anything about our own players doing anything. That sort of how these things have always worked everywhere. When it's players on your own team doing it, 99% of the fan base finds it funny. When it's other teams doing it to you, everyone finds it classless.
