President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

The problem with giving him full credit for his public pleas for peace, and his negotiations, is that he directly funded 9 months of genocide. Lots of words, lots of waiting, and lots of dead innocents because my tax dollars that were earmarked for mass murder were paired with pleas to stop.

If he wants to be the peace president, just cut the money off to Israel. Don't bomb Iran. Don't bomb fishermen. Stop waging war domestically on your cities. How about that? Cool that he's done a lot of talking, though.
The problem is he wasn't nearly strong enough. We got our last citizens back in May. He should have rained down hell on Hamas until ours were returned. His job is to protect US citizens over all else. Innocents die in war. Their innocents aren't our problem when our innocents are hostage

Hegseth calls his own words fake news.

Pete Hegseth, Trump's chief at the Department of War, has offered the latest case study in how this dishonest administration wants you to believe only what its members claim while ignoring what they do. Hegseth sparked an eruption of MAGA fury on Oct. 10 while meeting with Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the minister of defense for Qatar.

At the meeting, Hegseth said he was "proud that today we're announcing, or we're signing a letter of acceptance, to build a Qatari-Emiri air force facility at the Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho. The location will host a contingent of Qatari F-15s and pilots to enhance our combined training, increase lethality, interoperability. It's just another example of our partnership."

Hegseth, after just a few hours of outrage on Oct. 10, took to social media with a "clarification," noting that despite a long-standing military partnership between America and Qatar, that country "will not have their own base in the United States ‒ nor anything like a base."

Hegseth, in keeping with Team Trump protocol, did not explicitly say in his clarification that he had just hours before explicitly stated the intent to "build a Qatar-Emiri air force facility" in Idaho.

That would be admitting the truth. Team Trump never does that. And the member of Team Trump who nearly rivals the president when it comes to telling lies with a straight face is Vice President JD Vance.

That's why Vance was on Fox News, a safe space where his inversion of reality would not be challenged by host Maria Bartiromo, calling talk of a military base for Qatar in Idaho "largely a fake story."

"The reporting that somehow there is going to be a Qatari base on United States soil, that's just not true,"
Vance said on Oct. 12. "We are continuing to work with a number of our Arab friends to ensure that we are able to enforce this peace. But we're not going to let a foreign country have an actual base on American soil. So there was a bit of misreporting on that, as there often is, as you know Maria."

Had we done that Huff would be claiming we were engaging in genocide.

This entire administration is a perfect example of how poor the US education system has become.

So Palestinian babies are eligible for death by bombs as long as they have been born. What about Palestinian fetuses?

You think we were not? How do you define genocide?
When you try to exterminate an entire population of people. A quick google search will give you several great examples of what it looks like. This ain't one though. Now if you want to say Israel has committed war crimes..... That is entirely possible and it should be looked at and dealt with accordingly.

And NO we are not and have not committed genocide.

It can certainly be gauged, and a ratio estimated. The ratio of “right-wingers” to “not” has always been overstated.

From an actual number of posters perspective. But there are about 10-15 right-wing posters that certainly over-index, and essentially flood the zone.

But there are dozens of “not” posters that frequent these threads. And overall, I’m not sure there are that many more “right-wing” that post - they just post in volume.

It's a pretty strong echo chamber. If you look at the middle 50% here in terms of how posts are constructed, Im probably on the left end of that and someone like kiddiedoc is on the right end of that....

Trump did say he wanted to wipe Gaza clear and build a resort.

Both sides guilty of war crimes.
