What other message boards are saying (Alabama pre-game edition)

Oh yeah, the back half of the 4th quarter really soured my mood. Has made it hard to enjoy the win if I'm being honest. I don't know why Heup has become so timid with a lead.
Drives me nuts! I had to get up and walk away a few times. If I would have been in Neyland, I would have been livid!

Side note: giving up my season tickets was very hard, but games like Arky and UGA ease the pain of that long drive back home.

If we score 35 we will win. Their offense isn’t that great. Their numbers are severely inflated once you factor in the ULM and Wisconsin games. They average less than 25 points vs FSU, Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Missouri. In fact, Arkansas’ offense might have been the best we end up playing all season.

That last fella is in for a rude awakening.

We just have to stop them a couple of series and keep forcing turnovers - as long as we are equal in turnovers- UT will win. Their D won’t stop us. I honestly believe this to be true - and I’m not exactly a pumper …
Only thing to keep us from scoring 45 or more is Hype slowing down the offense after we get a lead

Three of those defenses are top 30 in the country. Missouri is #2. I don’t put much stock in the FSU game since it was Simpson’s first career start.

We slapped 41 on that “vaunted” Georgia defense while Alabama could only muster up 24. They’ve also played Kentucky and Auburn, two of some of the worst offensive teams in the conference. Look at Missouri’s schedule and you will see why it’s number 2. Same with Vanderbilt. They will continue to play a lot of underperforming offenses going forward also in LSU, Texas, Auburn, and Kentucky. I’m not saying our defense are world beaters, but whenever you call these teams top 30 you have to look at who all they have played because the stats can easily be skewed.

Living in Tideland I would love nothing more than having bragging rights for another yr but our D and Heuple's inconsistent play calling does not give me confidence. And our long losing streak in Tusc hangs over our heads. Hoping for Tide fan meltdown but not expecting unless we are leading in 4th qtr.

Good news is we don’t have to try to contain Taylen Green in run game this week. However, Ty isn’t a shabby runner himself and often scrambles with eyes still downfield looking for his guy. Defense has been inexcusable this year outside of pass rush from dline. Carter at LB seems to be the only guy that consistently finds the ball carrier (don’t get me started on Telander). Hood has been nice surprise but there isn’t another DB on the field I trust can make a play when needed. How long has it been since we had a stud safety that flies downfield in run game or makes Wr’s second guess coming across middle of the field? Our offense will score.. I think question will be can Banks and the defense make the right adjustments once we get an idea of what Bama wants to do on defense.

I worry more about the refs in this game and how many drive killing calls they'll make against Tennessee. We never get a friendly or a even whistle down there. Phantom holding calls and turn a blind eye when their oline has a handful of jersey. They refused to call holding on Arkansas on our own field. 10 to 1.. They've been pushing Bama all year. They seem to be one of their chosen teams..
