That would include forklifts. I’m in!

Had to share this. We had big storms from Friday to Monday. Most rainfall we've had in 13 years here, by a mile. The poor people in Globe got crushed by a deadly flood a few weeks back. This is from today, just down the street from me.

Somebody got a video of the microburst that caused all this damage. If you've never seen a microburst, they're sure something.

Sounds like the greatest thread ever except for that Marcus stuff. The funny part is he posts those page long rants all the time knowing most of the Lefties here either can't read, or avoid the written word like its a venereal disease. They only like "books with mostly pictures" like comic books and travel brochures. Basically like Bama fans from further north. With more teeth and genetic diversity of course...being that they're still Tennessee fans and whatnot.

The rest of that stuff sounds wonderful though. Count me in. If that were a TV channel, it would be my favorite based on that great description. Maybe add some womens beach volleyball too as one of our esteemed members mentioned recently. I think it was VFH?

There was a microburst in VA in the 1970s IIRC where it rained 20 something inches in a few hours. It was up in the mountains and it actually rained so hard that it killed every animal without gills that was caught outside because it drowned them. Birds, cows, cats, dogs, every animal that breathes with lungs died unless it was inside...and the floods and mudslides in that valley killed several dozen people as well who were fortunate enough to be inside. They had a video about it on the Weather Channel. I saw it in the 90s and they said it was (then) the heaviest recorded rainfall in that short period of time. I didn't even know that was possible...for so much water to fall at once that the air is too saturated for breathing. They showed helicopter images of the valley where the damage was centered in VA, and it just looked like a giant mudslide came down the valley and washed all the houses and barns away. There were dead animals and debris everywhere. Its amazing how powerful and deadly storms can be. As humans we are just like little ants when a bad storm arrives. Hope your folks thst you care about and all of your stuff is OK out there Huff. Be safe bro.

We're good. The microbursts only hit small areas. For people a couple miles away, it's just "good" winds. My yard cleanup is fun, but that's all the action I got.

I did lose half of my 9-foot Bird of Paradise in a storm a few weeks back.

The money still needs to be right.

No excuse for the billion dollar industry that is the SEC paying those refs about half what the NFL refs get with less benefits. It should pay so well that the best, brightest, and physically fit should compete for a shot to have that much control over each game thats worth millions on its own between ticket sales, concessions, 1/12th of players NIL payroll, 1/12th of the roughly $10million annually each team spends on coaches etc. Losing 1 or 2 games a year can and does get entire coaching staffs fired. We cannot have crews that control outcomes like Barn/UGA, that Oklahoma game earlier this season, and who screw teams like we got hosed Saturday. Last years team could have never scored enough points to overcome those 10 penalties Saturday. We would have lost that game even with a better defense IMO because Green is an NFL QB and they score points on everyone. There is no excuse for SEC refs being garbage and having almost no oversight...especially when the outcome of games has never and will never be changed even when its obvious the refs screwed up badly like at Barn. They let Oklahoma fake running a WR off the field earlier this season...then when he got close to the sideline he ran wide open down the field and caught a TD pass. Thats always been illegal and a 15yd penalty with loss of down. No excuse. It was the difference in the game for OK

This is really disappointing as a Honda guy. I wish they had just left the Prelude name alone rather than attach it to this slow crap. Its a pretty car...but 9secs for 0-60?? That is more than a second slower than a regular Civic with the same powerplants. No stick or even regular automatic (much less a dual clutch auto with paddles like several Hyundais that are cheaper and will run 3 seconds faster to 60mph) its got a pulley system garbage tranny with fake simulated shifts and sounds if you want to turn them on. It's heavy and slow. It will also be north of $50k after dealer markups. You can get a brand new 450hp mustang GT with a Coyote engine for less than this. Or a 315hp Civic Type R for about the same price that is THE fastest FWD production car ever made on track. Ridiculous.

The late 90s/2000s Preludes made 200hp from one of the best DOHC VTEC engines ever made...an absolute screamer of an engine thats bulletproof to 200,000+ miles. They were pretty and lightweight cars with exceptional manual transmissions and they were quick. They made Car & Drivers 10 best cars list EVERY year from 1992 to 1998. 7 years in a row. Not many vehicles can claim that honor. I cannot believe they put the Prelude badge on this slow and overpriced garbage. My POS 2008 Civic coupe that makes 150hp is faster from 0-60 than the new Prelude. By a full second or more. Good grief. Had a great time at the game and great seats too. Very thankful to @UT_Dutchman for great hospitality and his awesome tailgate spot. Sadly the garbage refs kept the game close by flat out refusing to call penalties on Arkansas while making up shameful penalties on us. We still won though and thats all that really matters. Dutch is a really good guy and I was happy to hang out with him. GO VOLS. View attachment 780862
