Still any team that loses a top back it isn’t good. He was their top back, he may be back who knows. Of course they pass more but everybody needs a good running game in the sec. You can’t be one dimensional. I am glad Bishop is ok on our end, he runs with authority and hits holes hard. GBO

He’s a difference maker as a RB for them and a load running between the tackles. When healthy, he’s easily their best RB. He averages 4.6 yards per carry. The lesser tailbacks bring the average down.

I like having the lesser ones in for pass pro. He is there best I understand that. I still think Simpson is the threat I fear and hope # 2 is still just a decoy

I know what the zone is intended for.
Our D is getting torched when we are in zone.

Need to play more man, imo. Otherwise Simpson will light us up.

We do. I agree. And that will be easier against Simpson than Green.

Can banks come up with a plan to stop the run? That is the question. If theres anything I'm confident in, it's getting after the opposing teams QB. We have consistently done that all year.

Banks needs to fix 3rd and long and 4th down. I am praying he does not make Simpson or a RB heisman winners this game.

It’s night and day vs their other backs. With that said, we have difficulties with average backs.

And no one loves Tua enough to tell him to retire. 2 bad concussions that we saw. No telling how many concussions he's had.

I was watching, it was close to targeting, could have went either way. He was running out of bounds at an angle and defender was coming at him at an angle. At the last second Jam turned his helmet to IMO, contact the defender, been better for him and the defender too who I think was injured also. IMO that played a big part in the collision if he'd kept his head straight forward and just went on out of bounds.

A lot of times the D barely missed Green for major losses that would have changed the complexion of the Arky game completely. I give it to Green he is the best mobile running QB I've seen in College ball this year, Simpson is mobile but nothing close to Green, but Simpson is a great passer and Green is not. We have our work cut out for us. We need to get to Simpson and get him into second guessing mode like he was vs Florida State.

He's played in three games....correct?

Ty Simpson was their leading rusher against Wisconsin. They rushed 22 times for 3.3 yards a carry. I expect them to do better against us given that we have been keeping a light box, but they have not been the same team on the ground without Miller and they have not been inclined to commit to the ground game.

UT defense will not stop the Bama running game.

They've allowed 103 to Syracuse, 215 to UGA, 240 to MSU and 282 to Arky.

IF UT's front can limit the damage to 150 or less, while pressuring Simpson often, we have a chance to get the W.

Giving up third and long has been a reoccurring theme. I am sure we are going to give up some but we have to get some stops along the way as well. The defense can be outstanding creating TOs and sacks but also down right awful. It really is a high risk, high reward unit.

I dont think Bama will just run at will, especially if what's his name is out (blanking on the RB). Grubb also likes to throw, so perhaps if Tenn is going toe to toe he gets more aggressive and abandons a so-so running game for more success thru the air against a weak secondary. Then Tenn exploits so-so pass pro (especially if the RB is out, the backups arent good) and gets enough sacks or gets a crucial fumble/pick that gives Tenn a chance to MAKE the FG this time as time expires. Its really the only way I see them winning this.
