The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Fassel would be much better imo. He has HC experience (albeit, he didn’t do a good job in the position), and he is a very high energy style of coach.

I’m good either way but I would like to see the new coach retain Wilson. The defense clearly isn’t the issue this year. They keep the team in the game but the offense can’t produce.

I said it after last season, hiring an inexperienced head coach to bring along an inexperienced QB was a bad move, it's just not going to work most times.

McCoy named interim

My personal dream staff at this point would be something like:

HC: Mike McCarthy

OC: Mike McDaniel

DC: not really sure here, maybe Aaron Glenn if the Jets can him, wouldn’t hate hiring a defensive minded college HC like Manny Diaz

ST: keep Fassel, he and McCarthy have history

I forget the exact wording, but I recall an interview a few years ago where Tom Brady said that starting a rookie QB year one was a terrible idea, and that it should only be done if there’s literally no other option. He attributed his year behind Bledsoe as critical to his development into the QB he’d become, and said that, if he started year one, he’d have never made it. Since he’s the GOAT, I’m inclined to trust his input on QB development.

So it makes me wonder if we should’ve just picked up somebody like Brissett and sacrificed them instead. Idk if Cam is the guy or not, but this staff is unquestionably ruining him, and since we were going to be awful anyway…… should we really have thrown him into the fire week one?
Brady is correct in my view.

I would not have been opposed at all to bringing in a placeholder for a year or two because this roster was lacking in so many areas anyway. We already knew there were coaching issues.

Who sat behind Brett Favre for years before getting his shot? HOF awaits AR.
