Arkansas is one of the best 3rd down conversion teams in NCAA just FYI. This is by no means saying our defense doesn't need to be better.

Well hopefully Banks has a good game plan. I truly think they don’t trust the defensive backfield so the linebackers are playing back a little which is opening up the run game for the opposing team. It’s the old bend but don’t break defense, which you hope to get a sack here and there or force a turnover. So far this season we’ve done that, we need more of it at Bama to win and most importantly we need to cash in on the turnovers.

with a defense as bad as ours is, I don't think we *should* beat anyone. This team is one bad day on offense away from dropping more SEC games. We've survived thus far, and we've got everything out in front of us, but if we can't get some things figured out on defense, this team is not making it to the playoffs.

Pace yourself (it's Monday) ... big opportunity, but coach will have em ready.

Sacks and tfl will be big in this game. Bammer doesn't rank in the top ten in either category.
We're #1 and #7 I think in those.

Simpson should be in line for a rough day.

After week 7, UT is #1 in most offensive stats.
Here is the problem. We are #14 (out of 16) on defense! Two things. If we play a defense that stops us we are in big trouble.
JH as got to keep the pedal to the metal on offense because we can't stop a nose drip.

We’re also #1 in sacks
And #2 in Defensive TDs

We don’t beat MSU without our defense.
Or Arkansas. Causes 3 TOs and 5 sacks. Yes they gave up TDs but our offense also stalled out too when they could have pulled away.

It’s not just the defense.

This isn't just a game, it involves people's jobs , millions of bucks(Gambing and NIL results), and recruiting results. Poor Auburn has been screwed even more, and could cost their coach and staff their jobs.

Sorry but an apology on Sunday just does not cut it and doesn't change the results. An apology and a dollar might buy you a cup of coffee. I had made a thread on Saturday during the game.

The refs finally called a penalty on Arkansas AFTER…AFTER Tennessee had gone past the spread of 9.5. So when we started leading by 10.
For whatever reason Freak or someone deleted the thread.

these refs are so crooked.

Their backup is solid, but it's been these larger backs that have given us trouble. Bothwell and both Arkansas running backs were over 230 pounds. Georgia definitely had less success, as they only rushed for 3.6 yards per carry.

Bama's RB is only 190, so hopefully he won't be as hard to bring down. We still have to actually tackle obviously.

Has everyone forgotten the amount of sacks the front seven are picking up each game?

Alabama’s OL is superior of anyone we will face this year, but UT should continue to get after Simpson and rattle him at some point.

They are a disruptive group. Don’t count them out yet.

In a fair called game, I like the Vols chances at Alabama too. But fair calling? 5h1t, most of the officials? I don't know if they are calling it with their eyes open, or using the force. Maybe some of them are on the take, or betting under a pen name, like Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain. Or maybe they are just morons.

But I am sure some dumbass will say it's just a game. Glad I am not a betting man.

Can we make Simpson uncomfortable? We can dial up pressure. Need to win the turnover battle and capitalize off of them. Offense has got to be clicking. Seen enough of our defense to know we aren’t gonna win a 24-17 type game like we did last year.

They were on the cusp of rolling on Arkansas, 17 point lead in 4th quarter, then took the foot off the accelerator. Even with a less than average Bama team, UT can't let up, this years Bama is very much above average.

This is actually accurate. There is no point of playing this game with Banks still our DC. We can’t forfeit so I suggest punting on 3rd down to end the game ASAP.
