Let’s keep winning and keep it rolling!!🧡

...unless an ACC bias lets Stanford and Virginia just switch places in the poll.
But I'm new to this room in the great NCAA plantation house. I don't know whether the floors tilt toward the windows or toward the fireplace. But I feel sure they tilt.
Lady Vols stay at 3 in the RPI standings.

UT is not a top 3 team with injuries this season. Its quite unfortunate. Without injuries UT is arguably #1. Love the fight the team still has, but UT isnt a top 10/15 team with all the injuries. It's maddening knowing what could have been.
I'd argue their defense is still a top three defense, but the offense is really occurring by committee. It is not clear to me who the natural striker or finisher is in our offense right now.

So drop substantially with a tie vs Oklahoma?

So drop substantially with a tie vs Oklahoma?
I don’t get it, just yesterday our RPI was #3 and we are a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament rankings.
I'll pose this as a question rather than a theory, since I haven't seen all our games:

Could there be a concensus among poll participants that we have not solved our offensive issues brought about by injuries, and that we just don't have the personnel to do so? In other words, have they concluded that this team--with its currently available roster--has reached its effective offensive ceiling for the season?

A related question for those who have watched all the games:
Has there been any change in our strategic approach, or in our preferred zones of attack over the past 8 games?

These girls were recruited to play this way, so it wouldn't be a criticism if there hasn't been change. But (and this is beyond my understanding) some schemes are more flexible than others. Thanks for responses and a chance to learn. I'll hang up
side down and listen.

I think you may be onto something about the injuries. Obviously we lost production from Shae O’Rourke when she went out earlier in the season. Jenna Stayart has stepped up and scored crucial goals. Her going out early against Arkansas was another blow. Hoping it’s minor and she’ll be back.
As far as changes in strategy, haven’t noticed anything, seems we line up the same way. Milee Zych the freshman has been getting into the starting 11 over senior Kennedy Price as the right wing
back. I think they are both excellent. Price offered a bit more speed working the ball up the pitch as an attacking player and Zych seems to be staying back playing more defensive.

I also think without O'Rourke and Stayart we don't have anyone who can operate in tight spaces. We settled for a lot of very bad shots from outside of the box against Oklahoma. Runyon can to some extent, but I wonder to what extent she is hampered by her previous injuries. I also think Oklahoma had a lot of success against Zych, so I don't quite get that move 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was my first thought, coupled with two of our three high profile victories aren't looking very impressive down the stretch. Memphis is hanging tough…
