They'd be idiots not to hire Cig first. He's coached 15 years with 0 losing seasons.

At NC State he coached/recruited Phillip Rivers and Russell Wilson. He was the WR coach and recruiting coordinator for Saban's first staff at Bama and was the lead recruiter on Julio Jones, Ingram, and Hightower.

He's clearly demonstrated fhe ability to coach his *$$ off and has a history of identifying talent and recruiting at the highest level.

And he would be a fool not to take the Penn State job. He's 65. He can build up IU for 5-10 more years or he can walk into a championship-caliber roster day 1 and add some finishing touches.

We consistently stayed in a 2 deep shell to prevent them from throwing the ball over our heads. With that defense, we will always have a light box which will favor the offensive team in the run game. Guys have to shed blocks to stop the run game. Right now we are not doing that nearly enough. That includes the Dline who are moving the line of scrimmage backwards but not getting the initial penetration we thrive on in years past.

Why not post the fumbled caused by 15? Idk that twitter post IRKS me. Carter was also held on that play and a illegal blindside block on hood at the opposite boundary too.

They had our number, almost every time we blitzed they ran to the backside of that blitz, I don't know if they picked up on tendencies or what but they had the right play to counter our blitzes way more often than not.

I think it was 3 times in that first drive alone. I believe lot of it had to do with not knowing what tendencies they had and we kept guessing wrong.

I’m not sure why nobody is complaining about the offense more honestly. They’ve been lackluster the past few games and to be quite honest they are the deciding factor on how good our defense can be.

Josh has got to get back to the me against everyone mentality. 3 turnovers Saturday with 2 drives ending in a 3&out following it.

Our secondary is facing a nightmare matchup this week. Our DL is facing a dream matchup. We should be able to generate pressure and stop the run without Jam Miller (assuming he misses) with 4-5 guys. I really like our chances if we can just play disciplined in the secondary and limit the big plays downfield (I have zero faith we are capable of this).

100% agree. You have to get points off turnovers especially the one at the 50. Why take 2 deep shots there? Just run your offense that you ran the prior drive and move the ball right down their throats into the endzone.

The other complaint I have about the offense is where is all the pre-snap motion and wrinkles we saw out of the offense that dominated that Georgia defense? Surely we installed that in the playbook for more than one game??? I hope we see that stuff again Saturday night.
