They'd be idiots not to hire Cig first. He's coached 15 years with 0 losing seasons.If you're Penn State AD and you have your choice between the two, how do you not choose Cig? I doubt that's the reality of the situation, but playing Devil's Advocate.
At NC State he coached/recruited Phillip Rivers and Russell Wilson. He was the WR coach and recruiting coordinator for Saban's first staff at Bama and was the lead recruiter on Julio Jones, Ingram, and Hightower.
He's clearly demonstrated fhe ability to coach his *$$ off and has a history of identifying talent and recruiting at the highest level.
And he would be a fool not to take the Penn State job. He's 65. He can build up IU for 5-10 more years or he can walk into a championship-caliber roster day 1 and add some finishing touches.
