Looking at UCLA's schedule, it’s actually looking pretty positive for them. Maryland, Nebraska, Washington ajs USC are all beatable teams, though they do still play Indiana and Ohio State.

6-6 is on the table for them. Would be an incredible finish given how they started.

Might not be a popular opinion but I'm happy for Nico. I think the first 4 games were enough to sate those angry.. and karma is satisfied. 5-7 is enough...to balance things. And thats what its looking like ... maybe they can sneak up on Indiana or OSU. IMHO I hope he stays put in UCLA because him moving again would not be a good thing he needs to stop listening to whoever has been advising him to this point. Make the best of the situation he is and let his talents shine because he definitely has that.

I’m very impressed with his playcalling. I think UCLA would be crazy to let this staff walk, they’ve already earned a chance at a full year. They’ve completely turned what looked to be the worst team in FBS around.
It's going to be a tricky situation for them. Neuheisel has been great as OC, but he's probably not ready to be an HC. And any HC they hire is going to want to bring his own OC in all likelihood.

Well, I was referring to Skipper, the interim HC, being retained. He and Neuheisel have done an amazing job together, and think they should both be kept if they keep this up.

He will be hot commodity if Nico decides to transfer. If he and Nico can finish the season strong, might as well be a package deal. Similar to Mateer and Arbuckle at Ou

Doesn't say much for the B1G as UNLV and New Mexico both killed UCLA. New Mexico would be a contender in the B1G for a bowl game based on this post.

There’s no reason to hold grudges against the Prancing Polynesian. He keeps doing us favors.

Let's hold up just a bit before we start proclaiming then the greatest staff in the nation.

Penn St was obviously WAY overrated and Sparty just sucks.

Two games is starting to get enough tape on Neuheisels tendencies as a play caller, etc.

I predict they will do well for another gane or two, but will come crashing back to earth pretty quickly.

Oh my Lord are you a woman? With how you jumped to that conclusion so fast, you have to be. No one called them the greatest staff in the nation. My Lord

Its quite often a team gets a surge after firing a head coach. It rarely lasts long or leads to anything longterm.

UCLA seems not to be as bad as they seemed but they are still not a very good team. Now they seem to have coaching to match their talent level they will end up a 5-6 win team likely.

Take a gander at their schedule. As things are and with what is already in the books they are gonna top off at about 4 wins

The end of their schedule reads Indiana-Washington-Ohio State-USC

They also have Nebraska and Maryland. Washington and USC are games they might be able to pull off. USC being a rivalry all bets are off there I'm not invested in the idea, just hoping they have a bad season instead of the full-on trainwreck that was shaping up. I honestly don't think any Big Ten team this year is unbeatable (in conference) except for OSU. How the season has went so far, the rest are all gettable.

I don't think Indiana is bad, but I don't think they are top 5, but they probably sweep the rest of their joke of a schedule. These guys are likely a shoe in for the big10 champoinship and will have only played 2 ranked teams (Illinois is no longer ranked btw). They will likely go into big 10 championship undefeated with worst SoS in top 25. If UCLA does not win another game let that be the one. Nico can play spoiler for the good guys.
