Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Had a great time at the game and great seats too. Very thankful to @UT_Dutchman for great hospitality and his awesome tailgate spot. Sadly the garbage refs kept the game close by flat out refusing to call penalties on Arkansas while making up shameful penalties on us. We still won though and thats all that really matters. Dutch is a really good guy and I was happy to hang out with him. GO VOLS. View attachment 780862
Wish the son and I could've tailgated with you boys. Would've liked to meet you guys. It was another great game to be at though. Hope you and the daughter enjoyed it. We sit in Q and have for over 60 years. Maybe we can meet up at another one down the road.

The pass interference against Staley was egregious and no way they all missed that one. Definitely felt like the refs missed quite a few pretty bad ones. Glad we still got the W though.

10 penalties against us at HOME no less. 1 holding penalty against Arkansas (Off) for the entire game.

Absolutely ridiculous and Danny/CJH need to raise Hades about that to the SEC office. The stadium spent half the game booing the refs for that BS. They had to.mention the disparity and bad calls in the broadcast right? This was the most one sided game by refs that I have ever seen in person, and i was there for the Jabar Gaffney NO CATCH where they gave Flarda the game in Neyland. The crew from last night should be ashamed.

You feel bad until you see what happened to Auburn. Of course the incompetence and obvious corruption is pretty widespread.

I thought I saw you on TV but it must have been some other redneck surrounded by supermodels.

We were undisciplined as hell yesterday. I think all of our penalties were false starts, personal fouls, or delay of games...

one more loss and they are a CFBP shoe in.
Oh yeah. If they finish 9-3 there will still be idiots trying to put them in the 12 team playoff. They should be eliminated right now as far as I’m concerned. The only ranked team left is their schedule is #20 USC that they play this week.

Your daughter's first game in Neyland. What did she think? Did she have any things apart from the game that were cool for her?

She had a great time and was really impressed. The campus was beautiful and the stadium is the best around. We lost our voices in the 4th quarter but gutted it out. Not talking today unless absolutely necessary lol. I am very thankful to Dutchman. Hes a great guy.

Thanks for the kind words Marcus, you guys are welcome any time. Crazy ballgame, but like you said "we still won", in the end that is what matters.

You two are great people as well and your daughter fixing my buddies phone was perfect.

SEC is still a "win in the trenches" league.

So far, I've only looked at sacks allowed / made. We are better than Bama in both. Bama is 108 in team sacks.

But there is more to trench play than sacks, run blocking and stopping the run for starters and we haven’t exactly been stellar at stopping the run. We rush the passer awfully well, but we need much better run defense. Totally agree that it’s imperative to win in the trenches, way more often than not the team that rushes for the most yards wins.

We also really need to shore up the pass defense across the middle of the field. Teams are gutting us with routes across the middle.

We are statistically better than Bama in rush yards gained and rush yards allowed.

Our level of competition hasn't been the same though.
