There should be some sort of pool for how long it takes these coaches on long, guaranteed contracts to get fired. Franklin was 4-years into a 10 year deal. Billy is in year 4 and his contract runs through 2029. He's probably gone at some point.

The rushing the field pandemic has to be stopped. It’s lost its luster with some of the more recent ones.

Golesh would be a good hire for Penn St but I’m not sure if the fans would like it. He’s from Ohio and I believe he worked at Iowa and Illinois. So he probably knows that area pretty well. He’s also a great offensive mind which is exactly what PSU has been lacking.

I believe Matt Rhule takes Penn State job if offered. Rhule was walk-on LB and played for Paterno. He is from that area and would recruit really well ..

If Penn State gives him a better contract than he has, it's a worse contract than Franklin's. They will get what they deserve. I would take it too if I was Rhule. Just not convinced it's an upgrade for Penn State.

I wish we got better reports on injured guys. Heupel says Bishop isn't "long-term" but that could mean anything from amputation to a sprained ankle.

If you're Penn State AD and you have your choice between the two, how do you not choose Cig? I doubt that's the reality of the situation, but playing Devil's Advocate.
