I don’t know anyone on the board who predicted defeat. A couple of us could read the tea leaves and knew it would be a close game, but most seemed to expect a 40 point beat down for whatever reason.

Fwiw I am far from a negavol. I’ve played a lot of football. I’ve seen the first night game at Neyland and seen John Majors in person at tailback. Was at the 85 Sugar Bowl and in South Bend for the Miracle. And the Tempe trip. And suffered like all of us between Fulmer until Heupel.


Because I know football and because I’ve watched Kaylen Green it was my impression the high point spread was too many points and recognized what the betting public did….- close game was forthcoming. That s not negative. It’s realistic. I wish I had seen a blowout by the Vols ( but did not expect one) I am not running around telling anyone
“ I told you so”. . And I wish Vols had curb stomped Ark.

If for one hoped for a blowout but also thought - it could be close. Arkansas is not UAB or ETSU ... I think if anything this season has shown us, not just from our games, but from other games, even the bottom teams in the SEC can rise up any weekend and do the unthinkable - that is if the "refs" will let them.

I felt pretty comfortable at the end of the game, as I do now. I'm sure I've quoted some in the past. So what? I suppose I'm not as hypersensitive and thin skinned by such things as you
