He’s a young back still so yes, he can improve those things. But sometimes players don’t.

I’ve seen three future nfl backs play in high school. Plus a handful of college backs. He is hands down the best rb I have ever seen play in person. Sure he has things that he can improve on like all players do. The God given talent is with out question. He also plays and runs angry.

Junior was great but also played outside linebacker on defense. DG is a straight up tailback and runs just as hard in the fourth as the first. Probably because he only plays one side of the ball.

Bishop proved he’s our best back overall. Hope his issue is a minor one.

Different kinds of backs though. Hurd was a straight line runner that would have been better suited in Big 10 at the time, here starting from a stand still 5 yards back didn’t suit him the best. DGG would kill in this offense and he’s a better back than GRJ ever was, I went to Soddy and saw him his entire Red Bank career. Also watched all of Baylors games and DGG is already better than GRJ was and will only get better. Hes a better back than Hiter is right now also.

Much, much better visibility to a player with this profile than back during Darden days. And there is a consensus in terms of his talent. He also plays against great competition and with great players. Not much risk he will not be really, really good immediately.
