All this negativity after a close win is confusing and not needed. Yeah there were some holes and we got gashed at times and isn’t ideal. But our offense seemed to do what they wanted at will and was never scared they couldn’t go down there and do their thing. Play calling at the end got a little dicey and we were kinda playing scared but that same defense yall are trashing came up with some good plays and a turnover. When we get McCoy and Gibson back it will be a game changer. I would like to see if hood can potentially play some safety because I feel like he could be a freakin ball hawk back there and has proven to be a solid tackler. D line is solid just misses assignments here and there but I’ll ride with them. Linebacker is decent, Arion Carter is a man amongst boys and telander is slow but the dude plays his heart out and makes tons of plays as well. We have a solid receiving core that we all thought was a huge question mark but have all proven us wrong with a 3 headed monster at tailback and transfer qb that is playing lights out. Times are good on rocky top so quit your moaning and let’s go kick some bama ASS!! GBO

I agree with what you're saying and im glad we're 5-1 (probably should be 6-0). Only issue I had was actually "pumping the brakes" itself when up 17 with our foot on their throats. I dont understand why we do that and we've done it to the point it's cost us at times.

Not to mention, when it comes to playoff selection time, a 17 pt win looks a lot better to selection members who only saw the box score vs 3 pts. So I agree, just wish we'd stay aggressive at times. That lesson isn't being learned.

Appreciate the message, but Gibson is done for the year. Hood isn’t going to Safety.

The issue is run defense and contain.

The defensive line is full of studs who've been responsible for almost all the big plays on defense.

There's a giant hole at linebacker and a big hole at safety, but I'm not going to add names.

Sad reality is we have an offense capable of winning a national championship, but our defense is the worst in the SEC.

McCoy and Gibson will not be back this year imo and Hood ain’t playing safety
McCoy will be back for Kentucky if not this week. Idk the whole Gibson thing so not sure on him. And it was hypothetical brotha, but I’m sure he would play the ball in the air and have better coverage than what we got back there. You really sit him on the bench when those two come back???

First off nobody is containing green and we got two turnovers off him and a bunch of sacks. Yeah they gashed us but we have seen this line and others step up when needed. Yall are just always so negative and need to look on the bright side. Would be saying the same thing if we lost and that’s crazy to me. If you ever played football you know it’s just go 1-0 each week and we did that. Could be Oregon could be Michigan could be Florida st. We were a lot alike Florida st at the time of our rebuild and I think we should enjoy the fact I feel way better about where are program is heading than theirs. Cheer up

The D is not going to get better. We are just going to have to live with the D and hope they can continue to do just enough to allow our O to out score the other team. I am now convinced this is the way the rest of the season is going to play out, good or bad.
Our defense needs adjustments but it’s not from the players it’s play calling. In my opinion we need to bring some heat more often and that doesn’t give the qb as much time in the pocket. We can bring Boo and even hood has proven he can get back there. Some coverages we were in tonight were god awful but the players did their assignments. Banks hopefully will get it right but the players are in place in my opinion.

I was told on here that Arkansas RB Washington gave Tennessee “bulletin board material” and all Tennessee’s defense did was let him run it down their throats. Defense is soft, I mean like really soft
Maybe bulletin board material is nothing more than fantasy material for fans, who don’t receive opening kickoffs.

Well there’s sunshine pumpers and there’s doom pumpers.
Yall just analyze way too much. We all see what is happening but it’s like yall don’t even want to celebrate. We are in a good spot right now and have a chance to beat bama I think. Our offense is very dangerous and if we put pressure on Simpson and maybe their rb doesn’t play then we are in it. Not gonna be easy but be grateful there is no saban coaching that team.

Id.put the chances of McCoy actually playing this year at slim to none. He's not going to risk it..
well good thing you are literally just guessing 🥱 you don’t know the guy and I’m sure he is itching to play with his teammates. He has proven to be a dog and they don’t all just chase the bag

McCoy hasn’t practice with contact yet.
Gibson tore his pec
I don’t know if Hood has ever played safety and don’t think he’d be best fit to drop 30 yards off the ball on 3rd and 5

I’m on record saying I’ll take a 3-point win in every game, but will forward this on to persons it’s meant for.

The worst how many of the worst defenses have you ever seen Lead the nation in sacks and top 5 in TFLs and Turnovers and second in defensive TDs? It’s no where near the worst but far from the best as well we are middle of the pack… the offense really has to help them out more and take advantage of the TOs that they are getting so they can blow the game open and pin the DL ears back and get after the Qb..
